While this is, of course, a commercial tourist attraction, it has more of an authentic feel than some other similar tours I've tried. We arrived just before 2:00pm, so we had no wait at all. The website says to just show up and that reservations...More

We did this one afternoon. Our 9 year old daughter LOVED it! You ride a mine cart into an old mine, which always stays at 47°. You are guided through the caves in a walking tour and given a ton of info on how mining...More

We enjoyed our tour to the mine booked through San Juan Back Country. The tour was very informative about the mine's history, tools used through the years and lives of the miners. Recommended!

if you have been to the Molly Kathleen in Cripple Creek, this will be a bit of a let down. You ride a tram into the mine. You get a raincoat, which is good because you will get wet as the water seeping through the...More

Our family has taken this tour for years and the kids love it. Now the grandkids love it. Dress the kids warm because it is cool. Not cold but cool. Loads of fun. Great family adventure.

We arranged for the mine guide to pick us up a couple blocks from the train station and take us to the mine. You may want to contact them and see if they will do the same for you.

Hi, The Old Hundred Goldmine is located about 5 miles from Silverton. I will suggest a taxi. You can ask at the Visitor Center ind Silverton, if there is any other way to get to the mine. Have a nice trip. D.
