So fun! Take mine carts into an old real hardrock gold mine. Old miner tells it like it is and shows mining through the ages. It's a cool 45 degrees in there, they have you wear a hardhat and slicker because it does have cold...More

I found this tour on Tripadvisor.com. This was our 4th time staying in Silverton but we had never heard about this tour. It's so worth the cost to learn about the mining industry. We took the tram 1/3 mile back into the mine. Our guide...More

The train ride from Durango to Silverton was cancelled so we drove up & happy we did as we found this “gem” for something to do. Very informative and our grandson loved “panning for gold” along with the ride into mine.
