As you leave Mendoza on RP 52 you will quickly be on a long mostly straight road with NO services, so be sure you have enough fuel and whatever you might need. I gains in elevation steadily to Villavicencio where an old hotel build in 1940 is presently being renovated. A stop there and at the visitor center a few... More

This road is great for its natural beauty You'll spot some of the local fauna, spread around the Andes pre range and range. This used to be the old pass to Chile. Make sure you take something for your nausea because there are 365 turns and you may get dizzy. The road leads to Uspallata and from there you can... More

We loved La Curva, the Chile Relleno, was muy bueno! The chips a d salsa was very good and we appreciated a very clean resturant. We will return. Pam Cottonwood, Az

Their wildlife give you the opportunity to see a lot of Cóndores & Huemules in their own habitat. Their 365 views are breath taking and the route (52) is totally well recommended during spring, summer and fall.

This drive up to the summit was amazing with a lot of wildlife and breath taking views this climb up to about 2880 passing over to the main Andes above the clouds!!! We done this in a 4+4 and would definitely recommend this as roads are un paved!

Actually did not make this side trip, as planned. Airport Hertz was my first ripoff experience in AR. Nearly spoiled impression of all in Mendoza. Next time, will hire a driver for less $$$$. Obviously this hertz owned by sleazy operator. Too many different quotes being negotiated using bad computer communication with Hertz as an excuse.

Ignore what some have written below, this is NOT the pass over the Andes from Chile to Argentina. This is Ruta 52 from Mendoza to Upsalatta. Although Google Maps doesn't show this road as fully connecting, it is navigable by car the entire distance. The first 50 km north out of Mendoza (the part that Google Maps does not show)... More

Visit to Villaveninchio and to drive around by Uspallata is worth while. We rented a car for two days and the second day we did this 365 curve way. It is nice to have some reasons to stop on the way, like VillaVicencio, but main attraction are the sceneries. There were also a lot of vicunas on the way. The... More
