I went to Salida for Fibark and do to the high water a lot of the events on the water were cancelled. Plenty of other things to do in the park and around downtown

Although better when the river is lower this manmade section on the Arkansas River is delighful with its mature trees, sidewalks, bridge, and big rock banks. It is really unique and makes it the perfect place for the FibArk competition. (FibArk=First in Boating the Arkansas)...More

Its a nice walk for about a mile with restaurants along the way and with patio's for watching the water. Good place for dogs to go walk to. Nice little spots to sit and chil and watch the water.
