We attended the Fiber Festival held in the park, and really enjoyed it. Lovely grassy park, flanked by huge old trees. Also has a bandstand and a playground at one end. My only complaint is that it is not dog friendly. We saw a few there, but also signs saying they were not…
Relax, enjoy the shade provided by a canopy of huge trees throughout the park. Sit on the banks of the Arkansas River, lift your face to the breeze, listen to the rush of the river. So peaceful!
After dinner we strolled around the park and down on the river walk. What a great job they’ve done to create this and improve the waterway for both fish (and fishermen) and kayakers. The thousands of boulders they placed must have been a Herculean task. Well done!
The town often has activities scheduled here and along the river that runs by it. The walk along the river is very nice.
Pleasant Sunset stroll, but very short as we left because of needing a restroom and looking like rain about to start any minute.
