Got to see the fish being transferred from on tank to another. They apparently lost their passport stamp, so was unable to log my visit.

We just happen to be fishing near by and had heard about a cool fish hatchery. It was a beautiful fall day and we just stopped by. Did a self tour of the tanks and spent about 30 minutes just marveling at the technology.

We had a little time to kill before a scheduled event so rode bikes along the river trail to the hatchery, got some fish food and had a surprisingly fun time throwing fish food into huge pools of fish. Interesting and worth a quick trip...More

We really enjoyed our visit to this hatchery. The volunteer (Jeannie) was delightful and had a wealth of knowledge. She took special time with the children visiting and gave us all a large can of fish food to feed at the trout ponds. By the...More

Jack met us at the door. He had us start with the video - you need to do that first. Usually the kids are anxious to feed the fish, however, everyone needs to see a really great video to help understand how important the hatchery...More

There is more to fishing in Colorado than I thought. Excellent tour and a great short movie about how the Colorado fish hatcheries work. They put out so many fish it's amazing. You get to feed the fish and see how they are raised. A...More
