A modest cost to literally get to the top of the mountain ($8 for my senior ticket). It was a clear day and, as they advertise, you could see nearly forever in all directions. Open only during the summer. The cars are closed in, so there should be minimal worries about being “up there” above the ground on the way... More

My family and I visited this on a rainy day with heavy cloud cover. We did the tram just for the novelty of it. Actually if you drive to get to this was really cool. We took a dirt road along the old Monarch Pass and then hiked to the top of a mountain. It was with a two-year-old and... More

This is a great little attraction for the whole family. The tram turned 50 years old this year. The tram cars are antiques, but they add to the experience as you feel like you have been transported back in time as you take the trip up the mountain to 12,000 feet. The view at the top is magnificent and the... More

The scenery at the top of Monarch Crest was amazing. Was 70 degrees with a light wind. Enjoyed the ride and fudge and free popcorn in the gift shop.

On our way home from the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, we stopped here after seeing it a few times but never stopping. The staff was really sweet and kind, getting you all set and ready for the ride up. The old style feel of this tram was really cute, and worth the trip up. We wandered around up at... More

Love the ride to the top. There was still snow on the summit. We had a clear day and could see Pikes Peak! Great views all the way around. Don't forget a jacket, much cooler and quite a breeze at the top.

The views are amazing and the price can't be beat by other, similar gondolas in Colorado. Was happy to find full bathrooms and a water bottle filler in the gift shop that has tchotchkes for every type of tourist. Staff very friendly and helpful. Happy 50th birthday to this hidden gem!

We did the Pikes Peak train last Summer and this was really much better! The drive through Monarch Pass was beautiful. The tram is a short ride up, with 360 degree views. You can stay in the lookout and venture outdoors and explore. The wait was minimal and the staff very friendly. One word of caution, if you struggle with... More

We rode the Tram up and hiked down. Beautiful views, bring a jacket it is windy and cold. The hike down is easy and don't forget your free popcorn in the gift shop. The gift shop is great with a variety of souvenirs and the food is great! We were there at least 2 hours, including Tram ride and visiting... More
