We had spent a long day on the road, and were anticipating the hot springs that were conveniently across from our hotel. Our hotel sold us discount passes after checking the websight to make sure what the hours were, supposedly open until 9. We headed...More
This place could be, should be, great. Blame the city, who owns it. They had plans over a decade ago for outside pools and other amenities but it never materialized. Its basically a lap pool, a diving board that is never open, and a shallow...More
We come to Salida a couple of times a year and finally made it to the hot springs pool this time. What a great recreational resource in this fun town! Lap pool has small slide and diving board and the warmest soaking pool was great...More
This was a perfect place to go in the dead of winter. Pool is nice and warm and friendly atmosphere. Clerk checking us in had a little bit of trouble getting cost straight but we enjoyed swimming and the young ones loved the slide. We...More

Wonderful pool with a warm/hot side and the other side cooled down for swimming laps. Dislike the heavy use of chlorine but would & will go back. Chlorine seems worse some days than others & don't know if it is due to different personnel or...More

There are two pools....the smaller pool for younger kids and for parents with tots and soaking is right around 99 degrees. The lap pool, which is larger is kept between 86 and 89 degrees. It also has the diving board, climbing wall, and water slide. The water is not recirculated, as was stated in another post I saw on here. The water comes from a natural hot spring about 5 miles from Salida. As it comes down the pipe, it is cooled, and then cooled more before getting to the pool.
