Listing the AHRA in Salida makes sense because the very interesting Headquarters is just off the downtown in lovely, historic Salida, but most of the fun is up or down the river outside of town. Having said that, if you are in Salida, do make...More

We enjoyed our visit here. Some interesting displays. And the front desk person was kind enough to stay a little after closing to accommodate us without complaint.

A nice place for the group to meet up at after a few hours of mountain biking, fishing, fun, shopping, eating, and drinking. The cement trail meanders along the river front and if you get the local city map(found in most businesses and rest) you...More

We made a quick stop for some fresh air and to see the river close up. I wish we could have spent more time! This is a great place to enjoy the local flora and the river is mesmerizing.

I'd give this a higher rating if there were more hiking trails along the river. It if fishing or water access is your thing then this gets a 5 star rating. Either way, it's lovely with tons of picnic spots.

The facility was nice enough and the staff were friendly and helpful. I still haven't gotten past the fact that they call this stream a river.

We frequented this area often for hiking and exploring when we lived in the area. Naturally, we went back on our recent Colorado trip. The beauty of nature is still there with lots of open spaces to camp. This has to be the best Gem...More
