I agree with prior review. They cut our time significantly short, well below the 2 hours promised. And it's a pretty expensive place to begin with so this sucks. What they told us, when there was still half-hour or so left on our 2 hour block, is "well the next course takes about 40 minutes, so you don't really have time." HUH? They should let the customers climb for at least 2 hours and then if they run a little "long" to finish a course so be it - rather than cutting the customers' paid time short! What they don't realize is I was scouting this place to send a bunch of Colorado teens this summer - now we will steer clear.

Barb, Please stop leaving duplicate reviews. We are very sorry you feel cheated out of your time, but I need to remind you that you were 45 minutes late, causing another group to wait for you, which they were kind enough to be understanding of. They did have a zip line trip booked with us afterwards that they needed to get to on time to ensure that yet another group wasn't kept waiting. To be clear you got about 1 hour and 45 mins of park time; 15 minutes is not adequate to complete a course; therefore, it made sense to end the tour at that time. The girls were given a choice of course and not directed to do two yellows by our course manager. Again we are very sorry you are upset that some time was "shorted" due to your tardiness; maybe you will arrive at the specified time in the future. My understanding though was that the girls had a marvelous time and would come back again. Have a wonderful week. -The Team at Captain Zipline

Be warned, they will cheat you out of 30 minutes of your Challenge Course 2-hour promised time. When I called, I was told the kids would have 2 HOURS on the ropes course. I was told the time was actual time "on the course," not gearing up or getting prepped. Well, they pulled my kids off the course at the 90 minute mark! I raised the issue, and instead of making things right, the guy said "well, it's going to take a while to drive back down to the main office, get them all out of their gear, etc." and he wouldn't budge on this. We got a special for $40 per kid, but I'm still frustrated. The kids wanted to go on a HARDER course (they were 4 kids between 16-17 years old), and the guide had them do 2 yellow courses (easiest!) and then one green course! That was it, time's up! Didn't even get close to a blue course or a black course. why did you have them do two yellow courses?!??! VERY DISSATISFIED... might even dispute part of the charge with my credit card company.

I was so scared to do this as my one previous zipline in Mexico I did not enjoy. The guides Tony and Derek helped me relax and really enjoy it which I didn't think was possible with my fear of heights. The scenery is gorgeous. I highly recommend!

Well, we were on the edge of our seats when you related your Mexico experience, but Derek said, "No worries!" So happy he was right (he usually is) and we made your experience was so good! The "fear of heights" comment was priceless as very few folks like heights and since we are in the "heights business' we always worry. Wonderful! Thank you so much for the kind words, we will let the guides know...actually they will see your review before we do! They live for stuff like this! You made THEIR day!

Had a wonderful time! We went here as a different experience for our honeymoon. We chose to do both the aerial rope course and zipline experience in the afternoon. We were the first and only people signed up for our aerial course experience but Derek was a wonderful guide. Super friendly and cracking all the jokes, he would fit right in as a Jungle Cruise tour guide in Disneyland. He gave us plenty of time to understand the mechanics of the harnesses and brought great tunes into the canyon so it wasnt an awkward silent experience. He gave proper advice and support when needed and let us each concentrate on maintaining our balance at the right times. When we returned for the zipline experience we were lucky enough to have Derek again with Tony as an additional guide. We had 2 other people join us and it was great to have both guides to help keep the energy up. I was so grateful to have a familiar face because my husband wasnt going to go on the zipline course after the aerial experience (he enjoyed it but...he is afraid of heights). Both Derek's encouragement and Tony's light hearted jokes really helped ease his fears and he ended up doing the WHOLE thing and loving it. I truly cannot wait to return to the aerial course and take on more tracks that I didnt get to (they start you easy and let you graduate upwards and 2.5 hours just isnt enough time). The zipline experience was great! It was definitely the most scenic part, bring a gopro if you have a group for fun footage to edit. If you want an experience with a fun staff, beautiful views, and unforgettable memories I couldn't reccomend this place enough!

What a nice review! Derek will be so glad his "work" with you two was a success. It is not work when our guests enjoy themselves like you did. It makes all the difference when we know everybody had a good time. If anything, sounds like you had a full day packed full of great memories, facilitated by our ace guide, Derek. You two are welcome back anytime, and bring some families along so you can "show them the ropes" and demonstrate your skills gained on this adventure. Safe travels and good luck in your new marriage!

We did both the zipline and ropes course with Captain Zipline. We really enjoyed the ropes course, but there were way too many people. We had 20 people in our group and that took away from our time on the course. The guides did a good job managing it, but it wasn't their fault that so many people were scheduled. Each person has to do a practice course, so it took quite a bit of time away from the time on the actual ropes course since there is only one practice course. I'm sure we could have gotten in one more course if the training hadn't taken so long due to the number of people. My suggestion would be to limit the # of people accepted for each time slot. The other thing that I found very questionable was the push to review them on tripadvisor. On the ride back, the guide spent most of the time talking about how important it was for us to review them on tripadvisor and give them a 5. He actually offered a $5 credit to each person who would do a 5 star evaluation when we returned. Given this push, it's interesting to see how many reviews for Captain Zipline have only ever done 1 or 2 reviews. I think that's a big problem for tripadvisor. I only look at reviews from people who've written 50 plus reviews. Otherwise, it could be someone's marketing department setting up fake accounts or people being incentivized like we were here. As far as the zipline, I think the zips were fine but not too daring if that's what you're looking for. Again, we had 17 people in our group which I think is way too many. Picture waiting for 16 other people to go over the zip each time. The guides did a good job despite the number of people, but there was a lot of waiting. The zips weren't very long, so the wait time relative to the zips was too much. Also, our last 2 zips were done while it was thundering, lightening and raining. The other group which started right after us were waiting in the cabin since there was lightening. I'm not sure why it was okay for us to do it but not them. I was worried about the safety of doing that, especially considering our kids were with us. I would give the attraction a 4 if it wasn't for what I consider a greater desire to make as much money as possible versus being concerned about the customer's experience. Having fewer people in each group and not pushing the tripadvisor reviews (which they talked about on our way back from the ziplining also) would help solve that issue.

Thanks for the review. We will get the guides on the same page with us on reviews, we usually leave that to the guests to do. They are good enough to be reviewed on their own merits as all our reviews will attest to. We are sorry for the big trip, we had a group of 6 that had car trouble and missed the AM tour, so they only had one chance to go, so we added them to your trip. That could happen to anybody. The lightning and rain sometimes causes delays, and the guides have apps on their phones to track it and we won't go if it is closer than 15 miles. Our guest's safety and comfort is most important to us, and we will use your detailed review to help make us better. We hope you understand what caused your large trip size...we aim to make everyone's adventure the best we can make it!
