4 1/2 couples toured this interesting building in progress. 2 in our group climbed to the top. Fun! Free. Not for kids or dogs. “Rock” solid adventure.

Bishop castle is one man's love. It has many levels and a dragon guarding its front. One of the main rooms had beautiful stained glass windows. Be prepared to walk up many flights of stairs. It was well worth it.

It is someone's personal property so not extremely organized. There were painted signs everywhere; a little overwhelming. However, the building itself is definitely worth seeing. Nestled high in the Colorado mountains, it is a scenic drive to get to. I absolutely loved the creativity of...More

Part scary, part exhilarating, part whimsical. Built by one guy, many sections of the castle seem... Not too safe. But if you want to put your life at risk, it's a definite must see.

Visited while on vacation in Colorado Springs. Be prepared for a drive of 90mins or so Colorado springs to get here. The building is quite a structure. Don't expect any safety notices - there are steep steps, long drops and little in the way of...More

Bishop Castle is a unique attraction in the Mountains of Colorado. Built by one man, the castle is much bigger than expected. If you dare, go all the way to the top spire for a beautiful view of the grounds and folks below. The spiral...More

Gorgeous ride up to Bishop Castle. Once we arrived we were stunned!! This castle is absolutely beautiful, pictures don't do it justice. The castle is not complete but it is worth walking around. I only made it to the 2nd level because I was too...More

This place is one of a kind and you don’t find too many free places in the world anymore. However, it isn’t for the faint of heart! It is definitely NOT safe by any means of the word. There are infinite number of places to...More

Very awesome place. Climbed up stairs to towers and the stain glass windows are beautiful. Fire breathing dragon doesn’t work right now but still cool to see. You must pay attention there are quite a few loose boards and you can easily lose your footing...More

The Castle is an interesting tourist attraction started by James Castle. It is not finished and will probably never be lived in, but the fact that he made it with his own hands out of stone, glass, iron work sweat and lots of toil show...More

When I was there a couple brought their lab and were looking around. There are spiral staircases that I wouldn't want to take my dogs up or down. Also, so holes that would concern me with their paws.
