We were heading from Fruita Colorado to Chicago but after seeing pictures of Rifle Falls I wanted to make a quick stop to see it and get a little exercise. The 3 chutes are unusual for a waterfall and it was pretty impressive. Also the...More

Nice hiking and exploring around Rifle Falls. The falls are worth the trip, but exploring the caves and the hike into the scenic back country just adds to the experience.

This is a beatiful gem for families. Easy hike to top of falls and beautiful falls. They are closing down swimming in pool at bottom of falls for ecological reasons so that may be a disappointment for the kids. There are some pretty cool caves...More

This place was pretty but off the freeway a ways. $7 to get. Always wanted to walk behind a waterfall. So even tho this wasn't big it counted. Didn't take the whole trail.

Not at the falls themselves but if you keep going on the road that leads to the falls, after the canyon where's there's world class rock climbing, there are trails.
