Three nights in the Americana Room while mixing soaking with shopping and exploring Ridgway and Ouray. Bathrooms down the hall but not inconvenient. Great bed, refrigerator in the room. Great view of the mountains. Perfect staff. Multiple hot ponds, even one for kids and another for smokers. A hot pot. Sauna....massage, indoor hot pool.

Nice place with nice large natural soaking pool fed by hot springs. One smaller pool called the lobster pot. There is an outdoor dry sauna and indoor dressing rooms. The place is beautifully landscaped.

I've been to this hot springs many times. The location is stunning. This weekend was not a pleasant experience. Too many people in the pools at once and also moms with babies in diapers! I thought that was against health code? I left after a few minutes. Could not shower because there was a long waiting line. Not sure I'll... More

I was very impressed with the landscaping and beauty of Orvis! My first impression was a little offset because the lady working the front desk was not very friendly and halfway through our soaking session in the large pond she came over to check the water temperature and said to three clothed people who were soaking "here half the time... This was my first experience with a daytime clothing optional hot springs. The pools were nicely spaced . I had expected more of a spa like experience but mainly just a hot springs type of experience. But they offered spa services but I was eager to leave after my hour there I didn't check out what else they had to... More

We decided to visit Orvis on a cloudy/rainy day since hiking was out of the question. It cleared up by the time we got there and we had a lovely afternoon. Soaked in several different pools including the lobster bath, which I loved- so hot!! The landscaping is beautiful and creates a very relaxing atmosphere. I liked this so much... More

This place is very well done. The grounds are lush and well kept. The pools are beautifully designed and quite comfortable to lounge in. The entire grounds and buildings are CLEAN. My personal favorite pool is the gravel bottom pool, which is the largest and coolest temperature of all the pools. The sauna is very nice too. If you stay... More

Clothing optional hot springs? I wasn't sure, but since I started out on my road trip and then it turned cold and rainy, I decided hot springs were exactly the thing I needed. Of course, I hadn't thought ahead to bring a suit since I was planning to drive over Red Mountain Pass, but I somehow lost my enthusiasm as... More

The Orvis hot springs were a wonderful find. There is a large, mostly natural pool with sandy gravel covering much of the bottom, very warm, but not hot, spring water about 4 feet deep, and various rocky ledges permitting one to sit in the water to various depths or lie in 6 inches of water, partly in and out of...
