THIS is the place for horseback riding. We took the one hour ride and had 6 riders, beginner through intermediate. All the horses were well mannered and quick responders. This is not your run of the mill stable. Josh the owner and Michael the wrangler took time and care with each of us, really made each of us feel well taken care of.
The trail was just right for us and the scenery was gorgeous. Hope to get back soon.

My sister and I went horseback riding today in Redstone. Our guide was Michael who was accompanied by his sweet cattle dog Mooch. Michael was very friendly and knowledgeable. He shared stories of life on the ranch and showed a lot of interest in our own stories as well. We learned a lot and felt quite comfortable on the ride. This is not your normal trail ride. You will definitely get the wilderness feel and views.

My sisters and I took a 2 hour trail ride. Michael was the wrangler and he was accompanied by two of Avalanche Outfitter’s blue healers. We three family members had a great horse back riding experience!! Michael was a great guide, explaining each horse’s personality and was very courteous and friendly. And it was fun to watch the super smart and playful dogs on our trip as well. I think that you will enjoy.

We took a trip to Colorado on business and found ourselves in Redstone. What a beautiful area, nestled behind the coal ovens was Josh the wrangler/outfitter and this hidden treasure of a stable . The view from the stables was breath taking, listening to the trees rustle and Coal Creek run who wouldn't take a horseback ride in the area.
Either a 1 hour or longer trip is available, families welcome. We recommend Josh and Spur, his dog to guide you thru the hills on horseback to get away from the bustle of the city and relax in the hills of Redstone.
