A must stop
Jul 2021
This State Park has it all. Two marinas, plenty of tent camping sites as well as RV sites all with plentiful rest rooms, visitor center, hiking trails, fishing, a real dam and fish hatchery, and more. It is no wonder that there are over a million vehicle visits per year. But the area is so large it does not feel crowded.

Along with The Pueblo River Walk, Lake Pueblo Colorado State Park is making Pueblo famous. Come see why.

Beautiful views and a fun drive through
Jun 2021
We were disappointed that the hatchery wasn't manned but we did a self service tour and it was okay. The staff at the visitor center were VERY helpful and pleasant to speak with. The bathrooms at the visitor center were also clean. We enjoyed our drive through the park and had lunch at the far west side fishing spot. We'd definitely like to come back and do more exploring.

Biker/Hiker Heaven
Mar 2021
I hiked, and was the exception, bit the hiking is great nonetheless. So, many trails! I was visiting without my bike; look forward to returning with it. Great up and downs and cool scenery.

Lake Pueblo is a very beautiful location in southern Colorado. The lake was still and the scenery is gorgeous. The lake sits on the Arkansas River, where many people were fishing and picnicing What a great place to watch the day away

No fish in this lake
Sep 2020 • Friends
Came to this lake a few times this year and trust me there are no fish in this lake. To top things off, their fees for camping and parking have gone up. A camp site for one night is $28.00 and for having a vehicle another $8.00. Just to look like your fishing and not catching a thing. This park is managed by someone who is thinking about making money instead of making sure people are enjoying themselves. Not coming to this place again and will warn others. If you want good fishing go to Twin Lakes near Leadville.

Not So Fun
Aug 2020 • Friends
Would be great but the lunatics behaving badly on boats make it not so fun. Boat Patrol must be invisible or non-existent to allow that much reckless boating. No wake zones are completely ignored.

very nice state park
Sep 2019
This is a very nice state park. We used it as a base for several days while exploring thing that we'd never had time to do in the Pueblo general area. It was nice & quiet, & clean.
