The Nature and Raptor Center of Pueblo is a member-supported, non-profit organization. Our beautiful setting along the Arkansas River features a variety of facilities and picnic areas, where we also offer educational nature programs for all ages. Bike, walk, or blade along our paved riverside trails, cast your line on the scenic fishing deck, or visit our resident birds of prey at the Raptor Center (open from 11 AM to 4 PM, Tuesday through Sunday). For an up-close raptor encounter, come to one of our free bird of prey presentations at 11:30 AM every Saturday and Sunday!

We toured the Raptor Center as a group today. It is a rather modest compound caring for injured birds. While their mission is to bring the birds back to health and then release them into the wild, there are some too badly injured to release. These find a nice lifetime home at the Center. Diane the director gave us a... More

There are all kinds of things going on at the center. Bike riding fishing, nature walks great restaurant. It is all here for the grabbing. We have been here for music feats and dances, it is just one big happy place to go, it is cool in the summer down by the river. or check out some of the things... More

The Nature Center offers many different things to do at different times though the year. Many programs are for both the young and old. Walk with your sweet heart around the water, sit under the trees and enjoy the breeze. Ride your bike on different trails or ride into the reservoir. Get your eat on to at the restaurant right... There are two parts. The cafe and office and shop are at the end of the road. The Raptor House is 1/2 mile short of there. I saw quail at the Raptor Center, a bonus. Then the handler just happened to have this Peregrine out while her cage was being cleaned. Please donate to this great cause, which has treated... More

Small area, but nice for a quick something to do. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Just across from the Nature center there is a cafe situated next to the Arkansas river for refreshments and a short hiking trail in the area.

Educational and fun. Be up close and personal with raptors, learn about their habits and know what to do if you encounter one.

We had heard some really good things about the Nature and Raptor Center and wanted to visit to see what it was all about. We were lucky enough to arrive on a day they were releasing a bird back into the wild admit had been completely rehabilitated...that was exciting! The staff is super friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the birds... More

We went to this area for a walk along the river. The lady at the nature center was not familiar with the walking trail and that was disappointing. When asked which direction to go, she could not say. We went to the right by the park thinking the trail would follow the river and it did not. Park of the... More

Walking a few miles along the Arkansas River showed a wide variety of bird life along the banks. We especially enjoyed watching an osprey fishing for its breakfast. Overall it was a nice place to stroll and connect with nature. There are various educational programs available if you have the time. After our stroll we went up the hill and... More
