We visited this place twice. Good location and nice service. The wines were delicious. And they open at 9am which is nice for travelers coming and going. There were a couple of outdoor picnic tables with lots of lavender nearby and close to some great peach markets. Check it out.

The tasting room itself is inviting, and the bottles are all decked out with ribbons the vineyard has won. We weren't crazy about the wines, but that is subjective. We noticed that there is an inn next door so we asked about it. The server said she didn't know anything about it, like how many rooms, etc. Hmmm. She didn't seem to have much knowledge about the wines, either. Oh well.

I've noticed Grande River Vineyards for years, driving past on I-70 and I finally made a stop. Their tasting room is nicely decorated, and cozy. Their wine is great and the staff is very informative.

This was a first and favorite winery in Palisade. It is literally right off I-70 and we walked from our hotel next door. Very pleasant staff who was excited about the wines and telling us about the local area and other things to check out. They had 19 different wines, and allow 5 complimentary tastes per person. Our favorite was the Viognier, and we stopped back a few days later to buy a couple bottles to take home.

For being the largest Winery disappointed in the tasting room being so small. The wines we tried were nothing special.

Pours were a bit small, I realize they are just a taste but barely enough to give me the taste I need to know if I want to purchase. They are very good wines though. Super delightful staff but the best part was the gift and sundries!

I was not impresed with this winery and would not recommend stopping there. When I arrived the cashier was busy with a customer and another employee had to come downstairs to help me. She made me feel like I was interupting her work to taste their wines. The wines I tried were not very good. You only get three tastes for free, which is not much when they have approximately 10 different varieties. It is hard to find a bottle to buy when you only get to try three wines and they are all very different varieties and blends. Perhaps if I had tried more, I would have found one I liked. I went to another winery after that and they stated that you got five tastes for free and they actually ended up giving me eight tastes for free so I could try more of their wines. I ended up buying several bottles there because I found multiple ones I liked.

This was a lot of fun and gave us a chance being guests of the Wine Country Hotel to have a free sampling of 6 of their wines. The Meritage Red was wonderful.

We enjoyed being hosted at this winery. We stood at the bar and sampled six wines. The lady who served us was a wonderful conversationalist and knew a lot about wines and wine-making.

We stopped by a snowy December morning, had our three complimentary tastes, got a bottle to take home, and felt very safe! Delicious wines for Colorado.
