We went in to buy three bottles if wine, and after tasting some of their new ones ended up with almost a case. Great instructions on how to drink the different types of wines. Would have loved to have done their firepit on Friday with gourmet pizza. Next time.

This tasting room want to help educate you about wine which would have been great, but we were asked to wait 5 minutes till someone could help us. I took longer than 5 minutes because the couple that was tasting keep talking about other thing so after 10 minutes we gave up and left, would have been better if they... More

This winery takes wine tasting to a new level. I learned more about wine then I have learned in all my other tastings combined. We had a great time and came away with some great bottles of wine. Put this vineyard on the top of your list!

Our event went perfectly. The staff was very accommodating. They made the kids their own cheese pizza and a gluten free one for us. The figgy piggy is delicious!!!

I am not a wine expert but I enjoyed every wine we tasted. I do know when I'm having a good time and when I'm learning something. I also know when someone is passionate about what he's teaching. We learned things! We had fun doing it! I'd recommend starting your wine tour here. You may learn some things that will... More

My husband and I have visited many vineyards in the U.S. and we enjoy and know alot about wines. When we hear "our wine tastings are different, we educate...." we think yeah, yeah, yeah, heard it all. We were pleasantly suprised to learn something new and really enjoyed our experience. We visited 4th of July weekend, had a learning experience,... More

I know I'm picky a little since I have no tolerance for acidic wine but this stuff is just awful. Also, the winemaker is quite the snob and didn't appreciate being told I wasn't tasting correctly with my palette. We all like what we like and I didn't become rude until then. Wouldn't go back or recommend.

I am so sorry to hear of a poor experience. We encourage open-mindedness when doing wine tastings and strive to share our wine experiences with our guests. A variety of wines and wine styles are produced and served at our facility and these appeal to a similar broad variety of palates. Our goal is to share a piece of our... More

This is one of the best wine tasting experiences we have ever had and by far the most educational. The value added from Elise's ability to teach you about wine is incredible. We learned so much and not only that what we learned will benefit us for the our lives. She has a true gift of teaching. I would have... More

My husband's and I's first visit to Palisade. No one spent as much time explaining their wine and providing wine knowledge than Elise at the Varaison. She was a class act, knowledgable, kind, and brilliant. Bought the Cuvée Blanc and Merlot. Wonderful and award winning. If you want the full experience, go to the Varaison!

On 9/22/2015 we were biking and wine tasting around Palisade. One of the wineries we stopped at was Varaison. After the tasting we purchased 2 bottles of Crème Brulee Chardonay, 1 Merlot, and 3 Barbara. We also purchased 14 bottles at other wineries around Palisades. We returned to Loveland, CO with them. We opened our first Barbara after Christmas Day,... More
