Ken makes great wines and serves them in a really unique and casual setting. My fiance and I really enjoyed our time with him...he even invited us out to his back porch to hang and drink a glass of wine with him in between his tastings!

Wonderful wines, amazing location, perfect host. We have sent many people to Palisade and this is the one place we are sure to send our friends, they always come back with amazing reviews.

While it's a bit out of the way if you're staying more near old downtown Palisade, the people there make it completely worth the drive. It's in gorgeous countryside, and you get to drive through picturesque vineyards to pull up to a winery in a garage. The owner personally helped us do some tastings, then showed us his entire setup,... More

Not too far from Grand Junction this quaint winery is as grassroots as it gets. This entrepreneur owns 6 acres and manages another 15 to produce his own grapes. He oversees everything from planting to glass. Very knowledgeable down to earth owner. Best Chardonnay I've ever had. There was not a wine I didn't like.

We stopped at Hermosa on our way back from Utah to Fort Collins. We wanted to stop at one winery in the Palisade region, and this one was higher ranked than most. I liked a couple of the wines, but several were too harsh-tasting for my liking. The guy serving was pleasant, but not real friendly. He was annoyed when... More

I'm sorry Sophie you had a bad experience here at the winery but there are a few things I'd like to clear up. First, while the 06 Chardonnay is not for everyone, it does have a loyal following and is the only Chardonnay I've been pouring at the winery for awhile. So it was an 06 you tasted here. It... More

Wow. Reading the reviews, it is impossible to add much of anything. Except to say that we really enjoyed Hermosa. The owner/winemaker/carpenter/tech guy and sales guy extraordinaire, Kenn, is entertainment in a realm of his own. The wines we tasted fit our palate and we bought a couple of bottles to enjoy later. We’ll be the first to admit, having... More

Hermosa is absolutely the most delicious stop you will have in Palisade. As a Colorado Native and a frequent annual visitor to the town, it's a must. I personally dream about HV's Merlot all the time and coupled with the most friendly service and relaxed atmosphere of the vineyard, you will dream about it too. Best Cab Franc around and... More

Hermosa Vineyards...where do we begin!? The environment was so relaxed and inviting. The owner, Kenn, is no stranger to the wine craft. He was taught how to make wine as a child by Italians. I asked an endless amount of questions and Kenn patiently answered them in ways that a non-winemaker could understand. He grows 17 different varietals and the... More

Ken is a gracious host! We loved meeting him in his tasting room off the beaten path. The 2008 Cab Franc was by far our favorite wine of the weekend spent tasting throughout the region.

The husbands were done with wineries, so we girls made the decision to go to Hermosa. As the owner started to pour the Chardonnay, I said no thank you. Why not? He says. I don't like Chardonnay, I say. How do you know you won't like this one, he says. Because I don't like white wine, I say. Ken, for... More
