It was nice, very much what you would expect from one of these places. Kids had fun and horses were very well behaved. Trail guides were nice and they let you stop and take pictures along the way. Fun activity for the whole family.

Had a great ride with Dena! Nice horses and beautiful scenery! We thought it might be too easy at first and then we went up and down into the canyons and it was great. Saw some deer, chipmunks and a mink. Great ride!

This is the second time we have visited. Both times nothing but a great experience. The wranglers are highly knowledgable and experienced with horses. They do a great job of matching horse personalities to riders and their experience level. They are all very friendly. At the end of the ride they help with getting you some nice pictures to help... We like Diamond Hitch Stables for their ride variety and proximity to where we stay in Pagosa--have used them several times over the last 20 years! (Our kids even took lessons when they were younger here) The 1 1/2 hour ride was just right for us, and being able to book online was perfect. The guide was very knowledgeable as... More

Trail ride was fun. My horse, Baldy, was perfectly trained. He obeyed all commands and was very easy to ride. I was impressed by the trail master, Dwayne. He went through all the commands and what to expect from the ride and the horses. He showed us how to mount the horses and then took time to adjust our stirrups.... More

The people were very nice and helpful and the horses were okay. The problem that I had was that their "trail ride" went through a couple of neighborhoods and there was nothing about being on this ride that said Colorado. I've ridden with two other companies out of Pagosa and both we so much better with the view of mountains... More

I used to own a timeshare in Pagosa Springs and every time I went for my week I went to the stables and rode the tail. It was a guided trail and about ten or twelve riders followed the trail into the hills above, going up and down the trails. We went to the top of one large hill and... More

Strongly recommend 2 hour trip or more. Frankly the one hour ride was not long enough. No trotting horses however. Great horses on the property, they look quite fed and satisfied, god owners take care of them. Easy ride into the canyon and back.

The staff at Diamond Hitch we very friendly and accommodating. Took a two hour ride but wish it had been longer. Saw many deer along the trail! All horses were well behaved and trained. I would highly recommend them!
