Small but friendly venue to see a wonderfully entertaining (and somewhat risqué) production of "Cabaret". Not Liza Minnelli ; but brought back memories of original movie production. Pagosa Springs is a small town, but seems to give strong support their Center for the Arts. There were three productions the week were there! (Little Mermaid and Patsy Cline). Tickets about $30... My wife and I were visiting Pagosa Springs on vacation. In preparation for the visit we purchased tickets to the performance of "Always, Patsy Cline". Wow, what talent. The two actresses were entertaining and the musical talent of the woman who played Patsy was amazing. The show was funny thanks to the roll of Louise. Great job everyone including the... More

My husband and I are professional actors and we live in Albuquerque, NM. We are finding every excuse we can to go back to Pagosa and see a show at the Center for the Arts. This month, we saw their production of "Cabaret." They transform an intimate theatre with their incredibly talented artists, great production values, and unparalleled community support.... More

We took a chance on getting last minute tickets to see "Always, Patsy Cline" and were so pleased that we did. The talent, the stage settings, the atmosphere in the theater are wonderful. It was the perfect way to spend an evening in a week of outdoor adventuring. Try it...you don't have to dress up.

We have seen The Little Mermaid, Cabaret and Always Patsy Cline all were excellent from the choreography to the costumes! Such talent in our small town! In the past we have seen other shows that are comparable to the shows we have seen in Denver if not better!

The quality of performances here rivals those of any large city theater. We have gone to shows here regularly for the last five years and have consistently been blown away by the excellent performances. During the summer the shows are musicals and have run the gambit from Tarzan to Chicago. The theater is an intimate 3 sided black box format.... More

Professional, not community theater. The talent is from around the country, the shows are varied to appeal to many different audiences. Some are funny or musical, some are quite dark and thought-provoking. All are much appreciated in this small town - because the quality is big town!!

We lived in New York for 20 years and were huge Broadway fans, going to almost all the shows for two decades. So you can imagine our delight when Tim and Laura Moore moved here five years ago to co-found the Thingamajig Theatre in the Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts, bringing us Broadway-level musicals, dramas and comedies yearround. Summertime... More

I took the family, including a 3 year and 9 year old to see the matinee of The Little Mermaid. Everything about the performance was impressive, the set, the costumes and the singing were all excellent and well worth visiting.

Fun little show, definitely must have been chosen to highlight the lead who runs the theater. Mostly good acting and singing, costumes amateur. Had to pay an extra $10 for opening night which included one drink and one very mediocre buffet. Hystericon (spelling?) and the actor who played the eunich/guard deserve special mention. Must also say the little shop which... More
