Excellent ride. My family(5 kids 7-15) had a blast. They all wanted to do it again. 2 hours was just the right amount to get a good taste without killing yourself. The scenery was spectacular over looking the Piedra River Valley then when you get up the mountain you have a great view of Chimney Rock. Greg was amazing and super kid friendly. My 7 and 9 year olds were chatting him up the whole time and he patiently answered all their questions. Kevin engaged my older kids in the back of the line with conversations and told them about his with rodeo'ing. There are other companies closer to Durango but for the overall experience and the best price I would always go here.

My wife and I decided we wanted to “stretch” our riding legs and decided to do the 4 hour ride. What a great idea that turned out to be, the weather was great and we had the trail to ourselves. The views along the river were to die for, literally! The trail gets pretty technical in places but these horses are well trained and sure footed. It was definitely strenuous for us two seniors but if you are adventurous, I highly recommend it!

Incredible family oriented business, takes care of their employees and treats clients as family. Amazing scenery, well cared for stock, knowledgeable guides, and amazing meals in camp. They want to provide a quality experience and will do everything they can to give you just that. 10/10 recommend and will be using them again!

We were driving thru CO and called ahead to schedule an hour ride for the family. We had a great ride thru the pines. The whole crew was super friendly and one of the dogs followed us the whole way. The horses were easy to handle and the ride was awesome. I’ll definitely give them a call when I come back.

Miss Staci and Emily were outstanding and took such good care of us. The horses were gentle and knew exactly where to go. The weather was perfect and the views spectacular. We took the two hour trip which was just right for our family. I can't thank them enough for a memorable day.

We got here a little late in the afternoon but they were ready to go, Emily was our tour guide and we couldn't have asked for a better guide. She was very knowledgeable about the trail, and horses. She connected well with our 12 yr old daughter, and stopped if we needed to stop. The scenery was beautiful, great view of Chimney Rock, and the horses knew right where to go. We would really recommend going on this ride.

We were ATV-ing in the mountains above Back Country Outfitters, lost and without cell service. We stopped by the office and asked if she would help us make a call to the ATV Rental place. Our only options were to go back the way we came, with thunder clouds gathering and the possibility of spending the night out in the wilderness or getting trailered back to the ATV place. The lady that helped us was extremely nice and saved our bacon. We will definitely skip the ATVs and ride horses with this company the next time we are here. We are very grateful for the assistance.

Emily was our guide, just our family of 4 on the 2 hour trail ride and it was amazing. The workers were very friendly and assistive in making sure we were all comfortable on our horses and explaining what to do. The view was great!! great view of chimney rock. Very sore after only 2 hours of riding but totally worth it!!

My wife and I wanted all day ride while we were in Pagosa Springs, Co for a week. I called and went online and this was about the only place to offer an all day ride. One experienced guide, Stan, took just the 2 of us out. We had been taken by trailer about 10 miles further into the national forest then dropped off. What a beautiful and tiring ride but what we wanted. Diverse terrain lots of up and down. Unfortunately a little too hazy for some fabulous views we were hoping to see. Still this was an excellent adventure for us. Highly recommend this folks as they certainly provided a wonderful experience for us just as we hoped. Very reasonable and even included a nice lunch! Stan sure new the country like back of his hand and explained so many things about it. Great day!!!

We did the 2 hour trail ride with Emily as our guide. This was the first time we've been on horseback and the experience was wonderful! We opted for the 2 hour ride which was long enough to get a great view of Chimney Rock. Emily was patient, friendly and engaging. Also the prices were much more reasonable than others. Would definitely recommend this company!
