Definitely a must for people who don't like the beaten path. Our Driver, Mike Tarvin, was great. He knew all the best spots to take photos and was very passionate about the history of the mining community. The whole trip was a blast!!

We have been to this area before but since we have younger children this was our first time to rent a jeep. Everyone made the rental process so simple and we had such an amazing time. We had unknown circumstances at home that were affecting the dates we could travel and when I called to try and figure out how... More

We decided last minute to see if we could take a jeep tour of something we hadn't seen before. They really didn't have anything but then Chad said that he would take us out. It was a beautiful afternoon, Chad was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and we had a wonderful time. We saw deer, marmots, picas,... More

We did the full day tour through Beartooth Pass on the way to Telluride and Imogene Pass on the way back to Ouray. Bob was our driver and he did a great job! Very knowledgeable, humorous, and accommodating. Everything says to dress in layers and be prepared for all sorts of weather- and we experienced ALL sorts of weather- sun,... More

Take Mr Perry as your tour guide!!! He is so fun and is a great driver. We took the big red dodge cause there were 8 of us. He made us all feel so special and just like family. The tour was so beautiful. We went to Imogene pass and it was so fun.

We were in Ouray for a family reunion and wanted to take a tour that all ages would enjoy and boy did we pick the best jeep tour! We started the day by going over Imogene Pass. Our driver Steve Roddy was not only an expert driver but an amazing tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the mining industry,... More

Do a search through the reviews here for "13th year in a row with SOA" and "12th year in a row with SOA", and you'll find my two prior reviews. Then do the math for my review this year. Took three tours this time, three days in a row: Governors Basin with driver Leo, Black Bear/Imogene with Bob, and the... More

Have been wanting to go on a jeep tour and this came recommended. There are several in town to choose from. I went on the Corkscrew tour which was 4 hrs.and a good way to start. We went from 7700 ft to almost 13,000 ft. The scenery was breathtaking and we made several stops for pictures. You are in an... More

We wanted a jeep ride and opted to take the Jeep to work with a professional driver. (We are just tourist not jeepers ). Here's why so great to have a driver: you can look all you want and you don't have to focus on the roads. Obviously, it's a four-wheel-drive excursion and the mountains are steep. If we had... More

Our driver , Lance , took us to Yankee Boy Basin as I requested to see flowers. His driving skill was very good. He pointed out all the points of interest along the way and he knew all the names of the mountain peaks. We then went to Governors Basin with another show of incredible wildflowers and old mining structures... More
