First time in Ouray and first time renting a Jeep. Could not have been better! Two of my sons and I spent two days Jeeping in the area. Corkscrew, Hurricane, California, Animas Forks, Silverton, Ophir, Telluride, Bridal Veil Falls, Yankee Boy, Mt Sneffels. Brandy was awesome in helping us make the most of our trip. The Jeep was in excellent condition and quite capable of all we asked of it. Lord willing, we’ll be back to rent from SOA again! Hopefully for more than two days next time! Thanks again Brandy!! Thank you Terry! My favorite memories include my family 4 wheeling in the back of a lifted suburban on all those trails...until we got our first Jeep. So, it's really special when a family starts a new tradition here. We enjoyed meeting you, and those young men are stellar! Please tell Michael to keep practicing in that big truck so he can drive SOA tours someday!

Great Jeep. Competitive price (Lowest in town). Easy pickup and dropoff. This was our first time and we did corkscrew to hurricane pass and california pass to Animas forks to Silverton, back to Ouray. Had extra time. The dead end at corkscrew had narrow switchbacks and was the most extreme we did. I think people often under estimate the pucker factor of these trails. The jeep was stock sport with nice mud tires. very capable. never felt the jeep was having difficulty.

We had a blast and our guide was awesome! The tour was great and we had enough off-roading to make it a real adventure! We took the half day tour to Imogene.

A great experience! I've been through Ouray a few times, but have never had the chance to take advantage of the off highway opportunities in the area. Brandy did a great job of explaining the route options for the day, and put my wife (participating with less enthusiasm than me....) at ease. We both really enjoyed the day, and plan to re-visit the area in the future. We'll definitely be repeat customers.

It's important to us that you find a trail/route that you enjoy. There can be a lot of misinformation out there as to how easy or how difficult a trail might be. The fact is that one person's 4x4 experience may be very different than the next, and that can be a game changer on certain trails. We are so happy that you and your wife enjoyed our recommendations. See you next time!

Everything was fine with our rental until we dropped off our Jeep. We were told by the staff at SAT that it would take 1.5 hours to drive from Telluride to Ouray over a special pass. We left Telluride almost 2 hours in advance and it took us about 2.5 hours. When we realized our timing was off, we called them as soon as we got connection. We were told when we rented the Jeep if we were a few minutes late "that's ok, just give us a call". We called at 4:35 pm and said "we are running late; the 1.5 hour drive was taking over 2 hours". We arrived at 5:25 pm (after washing the car and refueling) and were told they would charge us a $25 late fee. When I mentioned that SAT staff gave us inaccurate information I was told "You are from Colorado, you should have known if would take longer." This was our first trip to the area so we had no idea on travel times. The agent then said something like "It's not like you are from Texas where everyone goes 90 mph..." At this point I realized I was not going to get anywhere with this person. She was the only one working in the office. Our Jeep sat for 20 mins unattended. She kept saying "we have renters who expect their vehicle at 6 pm" but it was clear that they didn't have anyone ready to pick up our Jeep at 6 pm. It all made for a very bad experience. The check-in process also took longer than expected (there were three other guests waiting so we too had to wait). But the person who checked us in was nice, efficient and our Jeep was clean and worked well. If not for the unfortunate return, my rating would be either 4 or 5. Also, another guest walked in with no face mask and was not asked to cover up. This made me uncomfortable when there is a state mask mandate.
