This was a great hike. To be able to hike right up to and under the waterfall was simply amazing. And great views all around. Loved it!!!

The kids loved climbing up and under the falls on the rock, surrounded by the cliff walls, trees and sky. Great views and wonderful mid-level hiking experience. Fantastic photo opportunities.

This short and easy hike is filled with valley scenery, and is topped with the reward of a waterfall at the end! A great way to start hiking Ouray.

It's a little challenging hike for an or of shape couple like us but pretty. The falls were nice but not spectacular.

Not really very interesting. Small falls, with little water falling when we were there. Disappointing for us.

Over the years we have encountered many Ouray locals who make this short trek every evening they can. Even flatlanders can manage the grade. It is a lovely walk starting on Main and running due east; you can see the falls from most of Ouray, and the street narrows to a trail by the time you arrive. The bottom of... More

A great place for the family. We enjoyed a Sunday morning hike up to the falls (only 2 other sets of people there). Beautiful views, fairly easy climb, and if you are feeling adventurous ...a little steeper climb to stand behind the waterfall with an exceptional view of town.

Nice views of the town, easy hiking. The trail accessible from town and you don't need to drive to it.

Lower Cascade Falls is on the edge of Ouray and a steep but good hike! The falls weren't huge but, that may change during the spring. It's great because you can get all around the falls and there were not many people there! Definitely worth the stop and the hike!
