It's awesome. It's free. It is such a good idea in so many ways. We really enjoyed our time climbing in Ouray.

Park is at the south end of town shortly before the entrance to Box Camyon Falls. Observation deck gives you great views down to the canyon, river and rock formations. It’s stunning even when there is no ice.

First visit and first time climbing 100 feet on an ICE wall. An existential experience to say the least and plan on returning in the years ahead.

Where else can you find this much easily accessed ice? Coming from Arizona the Ouray Ice Park is the best place to learn how to climb ice.

This park is amazing! There are many different climbs offered based on ability. It's first come first served for where you get to climb, so get there early. I can't wait to do this again.
