The tour was kid friendly and not too long. It has quite a bit of walking, in wet, muddy terrain, in a slightly lit cave. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the history.

When we took the tour Jerry was our tour guide. Very informative on the history of the mine and how miners did their jobs. Very cool being inside a mountain. Definitely recommend for anyone visiting Ouray area.

Jason, our tour guide, gave an informative presentation once we reached the end point of the walk into the mine. (Seating is available.) We had a demonstration of the low light in which miners worked (using candlelight)...pretty amazing that anyone survived that experience. The gift...More
