Eldora is just 21 miles from Boulder and 45 miles from Denver. Avoid the stress of I-70's notorious congestion. Eldora is a locals-friendly mountain, relaxed and unpretentious. One of Colorado's best kept secrets for families. There's something for everyone - steeps, bumps, glades, terrain park, groomed corduroy for cruising. A Children's Center where learning to ski or snowboard is fun. 40km of x-country and snowshoe trails. Free close-in parking and RTD bus service that drops you 50ft from the lift.

Coming in over $100, this mountain has the price tag of the top resorts in Colorado. However, it doesn't even compare. The good part is that it is very close to Fort Collins, which is why we chose it and not too busy. I would...More

Eldora offers great skiing close to Denver and Boulder and you can get there without having to drive the increasingly congested I-70. It's not a fancy place, nor is it Colorado's largest or best ski area, but it still gets great snow, and is in...More

Little to no good beginners' trails. Not family friendly at all. MUD MUD everywhere. With season pass prices close to other resorts, it's amazing that the entire parking lot is still unpaved and muddy most of the time. Not at all responsive to season pass...More

Local area close to Boulder and Northwestern quadrant Front Range. Conditions were reminiscent of a very good ski day in Vermont, i.e. some loose snow with firm base, and hence fair to good conditions for Western skiers. Expect less vertical than a top to bottom...More

We were disappointed with the snow conditions as it was no different than skiing in the northeast. We decided to cross country ski, but the snow didn't look very good. Ended up snow shoeing and even then we were walking on grass and rocks. It...More

Eldora ski is a great place for beginners. Slopes are well kept and have different degrees of difficulty from the first timers to the seasoned. Nederland is a great little town with several vintage shops. Fun!!
