We live about 1/2 hour from Eldora. We moved here last summer from Vermont. Wanted to keep up with family skiing without all the traffic. This is a great little ski area. The staff for the most part were friendly and helpful. Both my 6 and 10 y/o love skiing here.

My friend and I wanted to do a day of skiing while we were in Denver for a three day weekend. After reading about the hassles of getting to Breckenridge, Winter Park, etc. on a busy weekend, we were a bit disheartened. We decided to try Eldora since it was only 40 minutes outside of Boulder. The drive was quick... More

We stayed in Boulder and took the daily drive for 3 days of skiing at Eldora. There are no frills and the food is very average. The scenery was beautiful and we enjoyed the ride from Boulder. We did experience severe winds. While we enjoyed many things, take note that the runs are short and the lifts are slow.

Local area close to Boulder and Northwestern quadrant Front Range. Conditions were reminiscent of a very good ski day in Vermont, i.e. some loose snow with firm base, and hence fair to good conditions for Western skiers. Expect less vertical than a top to bottom run in Summit County areas but similar to upper or lower mountain runs there. Weekdays... More

We were disappointed with the snow conditions as it was no different than skiing in the northeast. We decided to cross country ski, but the snow didn't look very good. Ended up snow shoeing and even then we were walking on grass and rocks. It was still a fun adventure with the family, just wasn't the snow we were hoping... More

Eldora ski is a great place for beginners. Slopes are well kept and have different degrees of difficulty from the first timers to the seasoned. Nederland is a great little town with several vintage shops. Fun!!

I have a disability related to my leg muscles, so I am unable to ski or snowboard. Ignite (the special needs skiing rental place) was a separate building quite a walk away from the main attractions of the resort, and is only open on saturdays and sundays. There were no other activities for disabled people (snow tubing, snow mobiles), and... More

Grew up skiing at winter park. Live in Lakewood. This place was on our pass this year. This place is a nice 44 mile drive that takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes from my house. This is my second time this season with my wife. If you are going to hit this place, the key is get there early.... More

We took our grandchildren for their first ski lessons. At age four, they were gently encouraged and learned safely skiing well after just a few lessons.
