Rentals: Paddle Raft & Accessories - 1 Day

Large rafts vary from 12' to 16' long and accommodate 2 people up to a max of 8 in a 16' raft. These are commercial quality rafts made of hypalon rubber and they all come with a perimeter line and a bow line. A rental includes gear for 2 people and additional gear (PFD, Paddle, Helmet) is available for $15 per person. It is recommended to have someone that is an accomplished river guide taking the helm as these rafts do not guide themselves and definitely have a potential to wrap and get stuck on rocks if not piloted correctly.

We decided at the last minute to try to go rafting and they took us in very efficiently. Bill was a great guide and seemed to know the rapids very well. It was a very safe and enjoyable experience.

We had a group of 10 of varying ages. Jonathan and Jack were our guides for the day -- they were amazing! Knowledgeable, in control, personable, and fun! During the slow parts of the ride, Jonathan shared history of the area and Dvorak (who has the first ever permit for Browns Canyon) and pointed out interesting geological features. We had a great time -- highly recommend!

The old lady behind the counter needs to retire. She was a snotty old bag that never smiled and mumbled any responses if you could even get her to respond to your questions at all. The people ahead of us were warning us as we came in and they were right! She acted like she hated being there and it showed. The place wasn't busy so I have no idea who pissed in her coffee. When you are renting equipment you can go ANYWHERE, there are dozens of places in the area, I would go back to this place again. Nice web site however. Whoever did their online apps did a great job.

Thank you for the kind words, we have worked very hard to make our website simple and accessible with proper social distancing protocols in place for your physical arrival. Our sincere apologies in regards to your contact when you picked up your equipment. Being heard clearly or smiling under a mask is simply not something many of us are experienced at. The trials and tribulations that we each face during these difficult times I'm assuming must be exacerbated by being in an age group that is high risk, let alone in a customer interaction position. This is certainly not her primary position, and she was just filling in to help. Regardless of your interaction with her we really do hope you enjoyed yourself and the Arkansas Valley! Please consider a guided to next time so that we have the opportunity to show you what our customer service is really about!

My husband & I rented a raft and took ourselves down the Ark - it was easy to book, and the staff was awesome at coordinating the details. We showed up, everything was ready, we loaded it up and were on our way. Also, sweet shop doggos (always a bonus!) We will be back!

I’m a Colorado native and had never been rafting so my first experience was going to be memorable. Dvorak Jack as we named our guide was great and funny. He made us feel safe and was cool and calm when my teenage grandson was tossed from the raft, quickly pulling him back in. He helped make our first rafting experience a blast!
