Interesting ride to the top of Pikes Peak

The slow ride to the top of Pikes Peak on the Cog Train was very relaxing, and made much more interesting due to a very knowledgeable tour guide.

It had been 31 years since we last took the tour. It was definitely worth a revisit. Our conductor was very knowledgeable about the Pikes Peak area. The train car was very clean. It was a good value compared to other tours.

Taking the cog railway to the summit of Pikes Peak is a relaxing way to see the views and reach the top of this mountain. Seats are assigned and you should be have reservations. Remember to dress in layers since it is very cold at the top even in summer. Flip flops and shorts are not practical. Time at the... More

The sight even said to expect delays, but tonight's delay was quit long, before we even got back to the bottom, they had already refunded everyone's money. Unnecessary, but very welcomed. The engineer, Vic, was great and our conductor Luke did a wonderful job at explaining, and keeping everybody entertained. I will be more then happy to go again, this... More

Really enjoyed Jeffrey the conductor, but there was way too little time at the top! If you want to see the memorials, view the scenery, you don't have time to shop, use the restroom and get food in that short of time. They need to allot more time oñ the peak.

I've wanted to do this for a long time and finally did. I recommend you arrive early for your trip, parking can get pretty tight. The train ride up was very fun and quite relaxing, having great guides on the train made it even more enjoyable. Dress for the weather, it can get pretty cool going up ( we actually... More

Great ride. A little crowded and kinda long. Wear warm jacket and pants. Heavy odor of Diesel, going up and down. If you enjoy train rides do it, but be advised!

We had went up Pikes Peak years ago and we drove that time. This time we decided to take the cog railway. Much more relaxing and everyone gets to enjoy the views, not just the passengers. The views at the top are breathtaking and the only thing we would have liked is to be able to spend more time at... More

Very leisurely safe trip up the mountain. Great views and the conductor was extremely knowledgable about the history and points of interest. Safe and stress free.
