Went with friends. Great way to see Pike's Peak. Awesome way to see the fall foliage. Donuts at the top shouldn't be missed!

This was such a fun way to get to the top of Pikes Peak. I think it's about 8-10 miles one way. ..takes about an hour. .along the way our conductor, Steve, told us about all kinds of history in such an interesting way. There were all kinds of wildlife too that you might see. We saw Big Horn sheep... More

Very much enjoyed the ride on the Cog Railway. We had a pretty clear day so the views were really good. We were seated on the three-seat side of the train and the views were better on that side. Be sure to take water on the ride to stay hydrated. Also, be sure to try the donuts at the top-... More

My husband and I took a trip on this railway. We got there early and there were people telling us exactly where to park. After parking we retrieved our tickets, browsed the gift shop and waited. The views from the train were breath taking and our guide was very knowledgeable. It's very cold at the peak so bring a coat... More

The ride on the Cog Railway was great in spite of a couple things....I sat on the two seat side and I felt the views were better on the three seat side. I also had to sit backwards which sometimes makes me nauseous, but I did not feel sick. I drank sips of water all the way up and down... More

We took 5 different train rides while visiting Colorado on a tour, and this was worth the ride. The train travels to a height of 14,000+ feet and the scenery along the way is very nice. Once up to the peak, the views are spectacular. The train was very full and the seats are a little snug, the Windows only... More

Nothing negative about the experience but not spectacular either. The engineering feat is impressive. The views above the tree line are long and broad but not particularly gorgeous. Rather, stark.

I enjoyed the train ride and the view. At the beginning of the tour they tell you to drink a lot of water due to the change in elevation. But both at the top and the bottom their bathrooms are no equipped for the crowds. I was there September 16, 2016, so not peak season. I cannot imagine what happens... More

If its your first time in mountains then it may amaze you. But if you have been to natural beauty places before, then dont spend your money on overpriced tickets. There nothing you will see new. I went in september last week. There were no snow or color. The train takes total of 3hours 10 minutes. We were hoping to... More

remember to bring your winter hat and jacket. Enjoy the donut on top while warming up after viewing this outstanding site. The train ride itself was very entertaining. The views from looking towards two seats or three seats were glorious. We saw deers among the changing fall colors. Waterfall on the three seat side. I did have a little stomach... More
