Absolutely awesome. Breath-taking views...literally. ha. Definitely would do again. Fun for whole family. FYI...use restroom before boarding....1.5 hrs to get to top then many head to the bathroom so will have a line. Only 30 min to shop and take pics so plan accordingly. Definitely would do again

Took the ride in the afternoon. Starts right on time and very quick to get on / off. On the way up, you get to see amazing views. Slightly better views (IMO) can be seen from the "three seater" side compared to the "two" seater side. Be prepared to feel the drop temperature , especially as the summit approaches. It... More

Buy tickets in advance !!! Absolutely the best scenery I have ever seen from a rail. I would highly recommend a stop if time allows in your schedule. I have young and old children and the whole family enjoyed the ride up/down and the stop at the top. TIP: make sure you are drinking lots of water before your trip,... More

I think this is much better than driving. I would definitely recommend to everyone to take this ride while it's still available.

Interesting train and good views. Not much time at the top but you don't need much time as we could feel the altitude- a little lightheaded but not bad. It's a good trip but once you've done it once, that's enough.

Was a busy day with the Incline Race and all but we arrived at the exact right time. Bought our tickets ($38 a head) and the train was ready to go in 20 minutes. Very nice gift shop and snack shop right there! Try the roasted nuts for sure. All personnel were very courteous. Trains clean and comfortable. (BTW they... More

We enjoyed our time on the Pikes Peak Cog Railway very much. The conductor the morning we rode was excellent (even with all the corny jokes). We wouldn't have wanted to drive the Pike so this was a great option for us. The seats are assigned and quite tight on rather uncomfortable little seats but it is what it is.... More

Let's talk about the journey, because the approximately 45-minutes allowed at the summit is simply a spectacular experience. The conductor-narrator on our trip was very well informed about the history of Pikes Peak and about the scenery along the line. The cars were modern and smooth-riding and handicapped accessible. The seating is face-to-face, and seats are assigned. You could take... More

We have taken the Cog Rail to the top of Pike's Peak in the summer and the winter - both provide fantastic views and a great experience. In the summer you will see more wildlife, but you can't beat the Christmas photos by the train with the snow. Each train has a host/hostess that provides some light comedy and information... More

... And they don't let you pick. Sets of seats face each other. If you are facing down on the trip up it may cause back pain if you're prone to it. Then, most of the really interesting stuff is on the 3 seat side. Would be much better if they let you pick your seats or at least switched... More
