Roxborough is a beautiful State Park with a variety of hiking levels, terrain, views, and opportunities to explore in nature. It's fairly close to the southern urban areas of Denver, but has retained a feeling of "wilderness" and natural splendor untainted by the encroaching housing...More

Roxborough... close to home and a great place to hike. Buy the State pass and enjoy all of the close-by hiking in the front range.

Roxborough State Park provides some of the most breathtaking and mesmerizing views you will ever witness. If you are in the Denver area or on the front range, this is one of the best kept secrets in Colorado.

We absolutely LOVE Roxborough! I hesitate to share this because we don't need any more traffic holding us back. Even in February, it can get crowded. Upon entry at our last visit, it was full and we had to wait for someone to leave before...More

Though smaller in scale, the rock formations here rival those of another favorite place of mine, Sedona Arizona. Particularly interesting are those outside of the visitors center which resemble large faces with open mouths. I hiked the South Rim Trail, 3 miles in length. It...More

Well taken care of, the surroundings are so peaceful. Love to hike and roller blade here. Be on the lookout for the scores of different bird species and plant life too.

The Roxborough area is truly a statement in natural beauty in Colorado. I am from this area and it never ceases to amaze me and please my senses. I have seen many artist renditions of the red rocks and no one comes close to capturing...More

Hi. If you have a State park pass you can get in for free, if not it is a daily fee of $8.00 . Be prepared to have cash on hand in case no one is at front booth then you have to place in a slot. It's worth the beauty. Hope... More

I think there is a park nearby that is closed but Roxborough was alive and well when we visited in September. Mike
