I liked the park as it was less crowded than Garden of the Gods. It was $7 to gain entry to the park for the day. We were only there a short while as we aren't big hikers/walkers since my partner had a knee replacement...More

One of our favorite local getaways. The same type of red rock formations as the more famous Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. It’s a state park, so you need either a Colorado parks pass or a daily entrance fee. About $5 per vehicle,...More

Thoroughly enjoyed our trip/ hike in Roxborough State Park. Parking was ample. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about the various trails in the park. Had a wonderful morning of hiking on two of the easy trails since we had young children with us....More

This is a great place! Go and see it! The rock formations are stunning along the Front Range. The hikes are of all types from gentle to challenging. I do recommend Carpenter Peak for those with stamina. My issue remains the state park staff. If...More

Pretty, vwell-kept trails. Beautiful views and breathtaking red rocks. A long loop that gives you a nice hill to tackle, so you get a bit of cardio, but you can also take it easy. No dogs is a bonus :)

Seriously gorgeous trail. It’s a super small scale version of Red Rocks or Garden of the Gods. Either way it is a hidden gem.

Roxborough is not far from Denver but makes you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere. This park has several different trails with several degrees of difficulty. Check out the Fountain Valley Lookout and Lyons Lookout - you won’t be sorry. Get there early...More

The state park has been here for many years and yet I always run across locals Denver area who had no idea it exists. It is somewhat limited for some; no bikes, no pets and over a mile of bumpy dirt road at the entrance....More

This is a popular day hike area near the front range so get there early or you will be waiting in line to enter park. Be sure to take side trails for great views and visit the restored ranch house.

Roxborough is a beautiful gem on the southside of Denver that has red rock formations on par with Garden of the Gods. Make sure to arrive early if it's a busy day as parking can be tight.

There is not a tram ride around the park. For older visitors, you might try the Fountain Valley Trail - that is considered one of the easiest, but please keep in mind this is a real hiking trail - not a paved walk. For... More

Hi. If you have a State park pass you can get in for free, if not it is a daily fee of $8.00 . Be prepared to have cash on hand in case no one is at front booth then you have to place in a slot. It's worth the beauty. Hope... More

I think there is a park nearby that is closed but Roxborough was alive and well when we visited in September. Mike
