My grandson and I visit once a month to see what changes have occurred. It is a working museum, where people dress the parts. Best part about it - it is free. Don't miss the inside museum either and learn about the history of Littleton.

Kids have SO much energy, so why not take them to this free interactive old village, complete with two living history farms on 39 very runable (is there such a word?) acres. We saw two pigs as big as my couch at home and five...More

I have been going to the Littleton Museum since I moved here in 1976. As a kid, I did their summer program in 1979; and each day we did something different on their authentic 1890s farm. Years later, I brought my daughter there to see...More

Admission is by voluntary contribution, costumed volunteers re-enact the activities of each area's time period and the amorous peacock keeps trying to impress both peahens and chickens. AND there's a gift shop! What's not to like? Nearby Ketring Park and Bemis Library's flower garden offer...More

While there is a museum, children will be mostly interested in the historic working farms. Nice place to spend the afternoon... plus admission is free.

I took my kids there when they were little (18&19 now) and we loved it there. My husband and I go occasionally now and just stroll around and talk to the "pioneers" and enjoy going back in time.

Love this museum, it is perfect for kids. They can see what it was like to go to school in a one room school house, visit a blacksmith, see live animals.

How much time should we allow to visit the Littleton Museum? We will be visiting with a 6 and 8 year old. Thank you!

If the weather is nice and not too hot, at least two hours. There is a blacksmith, pigs, chickens, old school house. If it is raining or super hot there are still things to do inside.
