We just love coming here to camp and enjoy the beach. The campground is clean and quiet. The beach is relaxing and kept very clean.

Please know that there is a fee to enter this park, I believe you have to pay it even if you have a State park pass... Great beach area and just a short walk away you can rent paddleboards and other non-motorized equipment. Very fun! There is not much shade so remember to bring your canopy if you have one!

Camped here for two nights in our van and it was nice. A bit of a long drive in from the road to the campground. The late night entrance is quite close and we used that once. Booked this on line and our reservation was ready for us when we arrived. Comfort stations were good and clean. Coin op showers... More

The ranger at the gate congratulated us on choosing July 5th instead of the 4th. She said the 4th was a nightmare. Apparently, they get pretty slammed on the weekend, and crushed on Holidays. This was the best $10 I can recall spending in a long time. To be fair, we did also spent an additional $40 on kayak and... More

We decided to visit Bear Creek Lake Park and was surprised to be charged $10 for a day pass. It started pouring rain within 30 minutes of our arrival, so we didn’t come near to getting our money’s worth. There appears to be some trails was walking, but I am unsure of the length – though the terrain did not... More

There is a ton of fun stuff to do in this awesome city park that is really more of a nature area. Mountain biking trails galore, nicely paved roads for road bikes, hiking trails, horseback riding, archery, fishing and tons of birds you just don't see in other parts of the city. Oh, and there is also a couple of... More

It took awhile but things are now looking up. Roads are repaved and striped, campgrounds back, beaches looking much better

I take my grand kids here for boating, swimming and fun time. Very close to the city, price is right and the crowds are well behaved. Lots of fun things to do.
