The Rusty Spurr Ranch offers non-nose-to-tail riding. Our guests are permitted, encouraged and given instruction on how to spread out and ride abreast instead of in a strict nose-to-tail fashion. We offer a variety of trail ride experiences, a 3-4 hour Cattle Drive and our all-in-one Saddle&Paddle activity providing the opportunity to ride and raft all in one day! We are centrally located to several top Colorado resorts. We are about an hour from Breckenridge, Steamboat and Winter Park, so wherever you stay you can easily enjoy a ride with us.

Went on the cattle drive with Han and his awesome dog Roxy. Roxy could have done it all herself but Han encouraged everyone to get involved in rounding up the cows. Be prepared for about 3-4 hours in the saddle and don't forget the bug...More

Put this in the 'fun' category rather than adventure. The staff is great and the scenery is marvelous. As for the ride, this was only my third time on horseback, so I am hardly an expert. That being said, this was the least enjoyable ride...More

We had a nice family outing at Rusty Spurr Ranch. We were able to spread out a bit vs riding in a single file line. It was nice riding through the Aspen trees & the horses were great. I would suggest driving out of your...More

We never guarantee anything more than a walk. We must consider a variety of factors (terrain, rider abilities, horse work load etc.) in making this decision so please do not make a reservation with the expectation that you... More
