If I were just reviewing the kids ski/snowboard school, I would absolutely give five stars from start to finish. The booking agent over the phone was helpful and determining what best fit my son. We bought the lessons and the lift tickets but told her we would rent equipment elsewhere. When then booking my own lesson, she forgot to book a lift ticket ... which was honestly a very easy fix when I checked in to school. There wasn't a lot of signage to find where the ski school for adults meets because it was almost in a alcove behind a building. But again, that was a small complaint. My son did snowboard school and his instructor was Ian. He was kind and patient and my son had a blast. He learned so much and was able to snowboard on his own in the afternoon. Ian also made sure to come and talk to my husband about what he needs to continue working on. My experience was the complete opposite with Matt. I was the only girl in a group of athletic young men who caught on very quick. He spent most of his attention teaching them. When going down a small hill, I was nervous and angled my skis to slow myself down. He told me I needed to go faster. When I said I didn't want to, he abruptly told me, "well, then you aren't skiing." I took a break at the bottom only to be completely ignored. After being so frustrated to the point of tears, he told me that I should have known skiing is a speed sport, told me there were only 10 minutes left and then walked away. At that point, I was too scared to even try again.

Well, we picked up our granddaughter from ski school hoping to be able to go down schoolmarm with her, and what we got was a solid blue skier! She has been to Keystone Ski School for the last few years. We didn't know how well she actually could ski! What a pleasure it was to see your 7 year old grand daughter out ski us all. We've always had friendly instructors that made us feel good about leaving her in their care. I am sorry I don't have all the names of the instructors that taught our grangirls to ski. Anthony was last instructor for the older girl. Ericka and Fran took care of the younger sister. Next year she will be ready to ski with the family. Hats off all instructors.

Our son wanted to learn to snowboard for his 18th birthday. We booked a private half-day family session with Adam Jones. He was amazing. Our 12 year old got tired towards the end and he kept her engaged in watching her brother learn. He is a fabulous teacher. I would definitely recommend the ski and learn school at Keystone. FYI, Keystone put in place social distancing and safety rules (instructor rides in gondola alone and family rides separately, etc). Everything about our visit was great. After a half day lesson and few falls on his first run down the mountain, the boys loved it!

We booked private lessons for our kids with Shane Stokes for three days. He was unbelievable! By the end of the third half day lesson, our kids were going down Eldora and riding the chair lift. He had fantastic energy for kids and my children loved him. (Ages 7 and 4 year old twins) I personally booked a snowboarding lesson with Justin, and he was the best instructor that I have had. (I have also taken lessons at Beaver Creek and in Park City, Utah). Justin took the time to evaluate where I was at skill wise, and broke my bad habits. He was also extremely helpful in talking to me about how I should approach different terrain and how I should adjust my riding accordingly.

Our nine year old granddaughter and our 5 year old granddaughter had so much fun at ski school. They loved the instruction, lunch, and the setting. It was well worth the money.
