Phenomenal staff. From equipment pickup to ski school, the process was very organized. Be sure to tip your ski/ride instructor. All of the staff are wholly underpaid for the work they do and considering cost of living in the area.

My kids have had at least 5 full day lessons here and they were all great. Marissa and Ian, the last 2 snowboard instructors for my older kid, were absolutely wonderful. They really improved my kid’s skills and confidence on blues. When the lesson was done, they gave a lot of detail on areas of improvement. I learned just by talking to them! Definitely take lessons here!!! Some advice-yes, the beginner group lessons tend to be crowded but they tend to be much less crowded once you keep taking the advance lessons.

We signed up for group lessons and had 5 in our group. Lucky we were assigned to Eric Alfon. We probably looked like a group that no one would want and Eric stepped up to the challenge. Possibly to his surprise, we caught on very quickly. None of us had never skied and our ages were 23, 43, 49, 50 and 51. All women.
By lunch time he said we learned everything that usually takes all day so we spent the afternoon learning more advanced skiing. Eric even did a video of each of us at the end of the day to show us what we did well and what we can work on next time. We will be back next year and we will ask for Eric!

If I were just reviewing the kids ski/snowboard school, I would absolutely give five stars from start to finish. The booking agent over the phone was helpful and determining what best fit my son. We bought the lessons and the lift tickets but told her we would rent equipment elsewhere. When then booking my own lesson, she forgot to book a lift ticket ... which was honestly a very easy fix when I checked in to school. There wasn't a lot of signage to find where the ski school for adults meets because it was almost in a alcove behind a building. But again, that was a small complaint. My son did snowboard school and his instructor was Ian. He was kind and patient and my son had a blast. He learned so much and was able to snowboard on his own in the afternoon. Ian also made sure to come and talk to my husband about what he needs to continue working on. My experience was the complete opposite with Matt. I was the only girl in a group of athletic young men who caught on very quick. He spent most of his attention teaching them. When going down a small hill, I was nervous and angled my skis to slow myself down. He told me I needed to go faster. When I said I didn't want to, he abruptly told me, "well, then you aren't skiing." I took a break at the bottom only to be completely ignored. After being so frustrated to the point of tears, he told me that I should have known skiing is a speed sport, told me there were only 10 minutes left and then walked away. At that point, I was too scared to even try again.

I purchased a private lesson for my two daughters. During the private lesson, the instructor left my five year old daughter alone for over ten minutes at the top of the mountain. This is unacceptable.

I was willing to allow that this was some type of extreme mistake, except three days later, my older, 9 year old, daughter had a group snowboard lesson. I signed my daughter up for beginner lessons on purpose, as she had only ever been snowboarding once before. However, the instructor decided to change her to a more advanced class. She was unable to keep up and fell many times, injuring her face. Then, later, the instructor left her at the top of the hill and did not notify my wife or me that she was gone. When I went to pick her up at the end of the day, no one spoke to me, and I asked multiple staff where my daughter was. No one knew.

After every other parent had left with their child, I alone remained. I frantically asked staff where my daughter was, and no one could tell me. Her instructor also did not tell me anything and instead left the pickup area and never came back. After waiting another ten minutes past pickup time, a different instructor came around the corner with my daughter, who was distraught. Her instructor had left her, and never sent anyone to look for her. My 9 year old daughter sat crying alone on the hill, and bravely decided to seek out anyone with a uniform to get help. No one was even looking for her, and no one had been informed that she had been left by her instructor.

I am very disappointed by this ski school, and they are quite lucky that I have not reported them for child endangerment. They are flippant about caring for children.

This was our first trip to Keystone for Christmas vacation, and first time ski lessons for our 3.5 yr old son. We paid extra for the private ski lessons with max 4 children. In 3 full days of class, he only had maybe 1 hour of time going down small slope on 2 skis (and we were so proud to watch him snowplow his way down for a good secs on day 2). That was the last and only time he was allowed to ski. We skied by as often as possible to view, and 90% of the time the small group of children were sitting and playing in the snow, or sitting and waiting, for nothing. We spoke to the instructor who seemed completely frustrated, and appeared not to understand children. He said 'they didn't want to ski today'. What?? The children decided? We spoke to the manager and he said that children are difficult and sometimes they are unable to get them to ski. This was ridiculous, as our boy asked for more skiing and we witnessed him do it successfully, but then never was able to attempt again. Horrible instructor and will NEVER use this service again. Basically we paid an extraordinary amount of money for 3 days of limited babysitting and very little 'instruction'.

A friend and I took beginner ski lessons at Keystone. They were so patient and helpful with us during our lesson and encouraged us to continue learning. They provide ski rentals including skis, helmets, & ski boots.

Our son wanted to learn to snowboard for his 18th birthday. We booked a private half-day family session with Adam Jones. He was amazing. Our 12 year old got tired towards the end and he kept her engaged in watching her brother learn. He is a fabulous teacher. I would definitely recommend the ski and learn school at Keystone. FYI, Keystone put in place social distancing and safety rules (instructor rides in gondola alone and family rides separately, etc). Everything about our visit was great.

After a half day lesson and few falls on his first run down the mountain, the boys loved it!

I had the worst experience possible with Bill Jones. He treated me awful the whole time and made me feel so dumb. He also is extremely hard to hear so I had to guess at what he was saying and what I was supposed to be doing the whole time. Then he would get mad at me for “not listening”. I cried multiple times and was so disappointed by my first ski experience. Anything I learned I did it from watching others and teaching myself. Absolutely horrible. The other instructors looked great...I wish I could have been in their group instead. Everyone in my group of 6 was disappointed in Bill. Do NOT take a lesson with him. You’ll pay money to teach yourself and get talked down to by him. I would still recommend the Keystone ski school as the other instructors seemed a lot better, but do not get a lesson from Bill Jones.

We booked private lessons for our kids with Shane Stokes for three days. He was unbelievable! By the end of the third half day lesson, our kids were going down Eldora and riding the chair lift. He had fantastic energy for kids and my children loved him. (Ages 7 and 4 year old twins) I personally booked a snowboarding lesson with Justin, and he was the best instructor that I have had. (I have also taken lessons at Beaver Creek and in Park City, Utah). Justin took the time to evaluate where I was at skill wise, and broke my bad habits. He was also extremely helpful in talking to me about how I should approach different terrain and how I should adjust my riding accordingly.
