A nice quick hike

Beautiful. Peaceful, even though there were other people walking around the area; some with their dog walking with them.

At the foot of Mt Evens this Park and Lake is a short drive from Denver. There is a real nice gift shop to pick up some Souvenirs and take some great pics.

Great place to stop and take in the beauty of the Rocky Mountains. The water is cold but you dont want to swim in the lake. LOL It does get busy with all of the tourists and local people but worth every minute

Stop and walk around the lake. Beautiful calm blue water. Walked into about a million dragonflies buzzing around us like something in a dream. So pretty; some of our best pictures came from here.

I drove on the Lariat Loop, then over Squaw Pass to get to the lake. It was just beautiful, with a reflection of Mt Evans and clear blue skies

I was there last June 2015. I was training for the Mt Evans Ascent and Echo Lake is the start line. The lake is so clear and blue. I so enjoyed running beside the lake. Early morning it was so serene and calm. A sight to see. Echo Lake Lodge over looks the lake and it is well worth a... More

This is one place you must go to. The lake is absolutely beautiful with Mt Evans in the background. We stopped in at the lodge for a souvenir and ended up staying for lunch. It was very good. Mt Evans wasn't open yet but the drive is definatly worth it! Be sure to check out the elk on the East... More

We drove up because there wasn't a lot of snow at the lower elevations. We were not disappointed. What a gorgeous drive up on a nice paved and maintained road. The lake was frozen and just beautiful. You could play in the snow nearby!
