in both literal and slang terms this course is tight. this is a links style course so it means the fairway is your friend. hitting it off the fairway means waste high grass (lost ball), water (lost ball), road (lost ball), or back yard neighborhood (lost ball). with ample opportunities to loose your ball in plain site this course really rewards a tee shot that finds the fairway. the greens were rolled nicely and were pretty straight forward.
there is a discount here if you work for State Farm as well.

Always make it at least once a year to Boomerang, and always have a great experience The greens were in fantastic condition, everything is always maintained well including the bunkers. Played the white tees this time at almost 6400 yards.

Bang for your buck
Aug 2017
Made it back to play, only $36.50 with a cart on a Saturday, best value in this region. This course is surprisingly challenging, rating and slope much higher than you may think, at least from blue tees. Overall course in good shape although recent heavy rains have impacted all courses here. Definitely will come back and recommend.

This course is pretty easy on the front nine, but the back is a bear. There is water on 7 of 9 holes on the back. Contrary to the name, there are a few trees on this course, but they don't come into play on many holes. This is a fairly heavily played muni and fairly affordable. The restaurant on the property is nice and the Pro Shop staff were gracious and welcoming. Some of the water hazards are filled with rancid water with a ton of algae growing on it. I guess that makes it more "natural," but the course would be better if the water could be drained and flushed out occasionally on some of the hazards. I shot an 83 from the white tees which are in the middle. The championship tees are waaaaaaay back and stretch the course to well over 7,000 yards. I got a real kick out of watching the weekend hacker foursome in front of me playing off the tips when none of them was even a 20 handicap player. They were cussin' and shootin' all day long. An unexpected burst of comedy for me. You really do have to play the correct tees.

Great place to play

Challenging yet manageable. It's a nice course for folks of any ability. Though we can usually walk on, it's best to call ahead to assure there isn't a tournament or other activity

Good, Quality Course
Jul 2013
For a change of pace Boomerang is a great choice and lots of fun. With a slope rating of 131 and 6800 yards from the blues, Boomerang is a quality course. The greens and fairways are well maintained and there are some nice water holes. I finally played here last summer for the first time and really enjoyed it, and have now played here 3 more times as a change of scenery from my regular Fort Collins courses.
