We were staying at the resort with our own horses and I can tell you that these stables are well run. Their horses looked happy and healthy. They kept the grounds very well maintained and had rides for both young and old. We spoke to...More

Went with our sons age 23 & 17. Ride was nice. I had altitude sickness so was glad that we weren't going up in altitude - it was pretty much even with little dips here & there. Got to cross through a shallow, narrow part...More

Horseback riding at Winding River is great as you are right on the trails near Rocky Mountain National Park with beautiful views. Their are lots of animals (goats, miniature ponies, etc.) for kids to watch and pet. Family Fun!

Aaron was great! 1 hour was plenty for my wife's 42 year old and my 50 year old hips and knees! I rode "Cash". He was slow. But a great horse. Nice time!

Beautiful scenery abounds on the two hour trek within Rocky Mountain National Park. Horses were great and well trained making for an easy ride with inexperienced riders. Our guide, Aaron, was terrific. One suggestion might be a stop at one of the scenic locations for...More

I would recommend it--they only have so many horses and they have two ride lengths. There was a group that came in with no reservations at the time we were making ours who got turned away because they didn't have enough... More
