Grand Junctions downtown district was small, but very cool. Every place we went into greeted us with a smile, and hello. When walking down the street total strangers say hello. This reminds of how CO used to be in the 60's, and 70's Very Friendly.

Spend the morning walking through old town of GJ. Had coffee and best bagels ever at the coffee and bagel shop. Could not have asked for more as weather was great as well.

Wonderful little town to visit. We enjoyed all the artwork on the street and the Western Museum that was a must-see. Plenty of places to eat and lots of arts and crafts and antique shops. I would go again

Grand Junction has a friendly downtown area with shops and restaurants; a great place to walk or shop. I visited on the weekend, so there was free parking at the nearby parking garage.

We rented a private house. Maybe this might be a solution?
