I visited this during a short trip to Grand Junction. It is not very large, but it is definitely worth a short trip. It has some very interesting things to look at and read if you are interested in train history specifically the Uintah Railroad. My son loved the model train and climbing in the caboose.

Cross Orchard has a lot of Americana displays, but the model train setup was amazing. It was run by a local model train club and had the largest landscape and real life setup in Western Colorado that I have seen.

This is an old orchard no longer in production but all the buildings aare there and they have people dressed in the early 1900's clothing to tell you how life would have been for the apple pickers. The man and woman on site the day we visited were very friendly and knowledgable.

This farm has much potential, but appears to need stronger leadership in providing events that would bring in the community. It is rarely open, with events remaining basically the same. It would be great to have some farm animals and activities during the week for children to visit during the summer months. As stated, it has great potential but needs... More

Stopped by while traveling the region with kids. The complete tour took two hours. The tour included walks thru several buildings from the early days of apple production. Very informative and the kids gained appreciation for the hardships of life back in the day.

This is a fun little site, with trains and a great summation of the area. If you are passing through it is a good diversion for a bit. Just relaxing.

This is a fun place to visit in Grand Junction. It is located on a main road so it is easy to find. There is plenty of room to just wonder through freely. Something for all ages to see regarding the history of agriculture in the area. Lots of old cars and equipment to see. Stop by and enjoy
