This is a beautiful facility with a few nice displays and clean bathrooms. The drive up the mountain is easy and fairly close to the highway. If you stop, take some time to sit on the back porch and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Very interesting Nature Center. Exhibits, and Ranger held a interactive lecture about snakes, how to tell e difference between a Bull snake (good) and a rattle snake (scary). Actually had a very tame Bull snake for you to see and touch. Nice trails (I think) to walk around on. I didn't feel brave enough after the rattle snake thing. I... More

It was scary going up that Mountain, But once up there the scenery was just breath taking, LITERALLY BREATH TAKING!!!!! Just beautiful, but I did feel like passing out from lack of Oxygen! But I do recommend this!

Its a nice stop but not much to look at. We walked in briefly and then went to take a couple of pictures. This really more of a cyclist's stop.

Stop into the nature center if you would like to learn more about the animals native to the area. There is a ranger who can answer questions and clean restrooms.

This was a really nice, clean nature center. They had several taxidermy displays of the habitats and animals that you'd expect out in the landscape. Really well done.

We were traveling around with our grandkids (5&7) and saw the sign for the lookout Nature center. We drove up and up and finally made it. Great little spot -very interesting displays of the natural habitat of the area. Lots of hands on displays. Clean and very new looking. The kids enjoyed - as did we! Only issue I had... More

I was looking forward to getting to the top of lookout mountain for a last view of the Rockies on our way home. To my disappointment, it was difficult to see anything through the trees surrounding the nature center. The nature trails were nice, but there is no view to speak of.

A group of us visited Lookout Mountain Nature Center and found it to be an enjoyable place to visit. The inside of the center has a variety of taxidermied wildlife that lives in the area. Outside of the center, we saw a mule deer about 50 yards from the building. I recommend coupling a visit to this nature center with... More

This is a wonderful attraction that you could make into a day trip from Denver. The drive to the centre is beautiful. There are some short hiking trails that give you view points of the sprawling landscapes. If you want to see the buffalo herd you have to do a bit more driving but the nature trails are awesome. The... More
