Most amazing views can be found along this road. We just happened to turn the wrong way and ended up taking this route. You can see all of Golden, Downtown Denver skyline, and pretty much greater Denver! Visit Buffalo Bill's gravesite and then take this...More

We took this drive on our last day in Golden. The scenery is amazing, and there are several small towns you go through. It took about 45 minutes. We ended up in a great little old bar in Morrison, CO. Well worth it.

Beautiful drive but for a flatlander it was nerving at times. There are steep hills and large trucks driving this road. But its a big highway and we just stayed to the right. Worth the drive to see the amazing views.

Did this for our first views of the mountains around Denver. Lots of hairpin turns and overlooks. Loved it!

Short drive from Golden, yet amazingly impressive, especially when you come from the Midwest and the tallest item in a 30 mile radius is the McDonalds sign. The tall inclined red rocks are a sight to behold. Recommended.

This very convenient loop close to Denver provides a bit of a mountain experience close to the city. The historic section out of Golden to the top of Lookout Mtn. is a classic windy mountain road, but offers great views of the city, Clear Creek...More

We came down this highway and the road was white with ice and snow. So were my knuckles! The views were spectacular when I took my eyes off the road.

The "loop" is just a nice Sunday afternoon type of drive. Speed limits are slow, but for good reason. Interesting town is Evergreen and the Evergreen Lake / Reservoir. Has a small dam at the lower end, which in winter is partially frozen (lake is...More

I took the kids on a half day trip around Lariat Loop while staying in Denver. We just took our time and meandered. We stopped at Red Rocks Ampitheater and walked around, Dino Ridge, ate lunch in Morrison, icecream in Evergreen, stopped at random river...More

A wonderful drive near Lookout Mountain. The views are breathtaking. Everywhere you look it's just seeing beauty for miles. Highly recommend this drive. Does have a few hairpin turns but they were no big deal for us.
