This was a great short drive that we took before heading to a concert at Red Rocks. There are several places to stop off and take pictures. We grabbed a Which Wich sandwich at the bottom of the mountain and ate it while sitting on...More

We take the Lariat Loop often, as it skips a lot of the always clogged I-70, gives us a gorgeous view of the Rockies and Front Range, reminds us wisely to slow down and avoid all the bikers, hikers, and runners--good on them!--and gets us...More

The Lariat Loop Scenic Byway was a bit difficult for us to find, but it was well worth the effort once we were on it. This is part of the Peak to Peak Trail and it has spectacular scenery along the road. It is twisty...More

Very beautiful and scenic drive. As you get off the exit from Interstate 70, go past and down the rest area and look for the buffalo.

The road has plenty of hairpin curves, requiring a speed limit of 15 mph in most spots. There are some great views, and access to trails.

Route from Buffalo Bill Museum back down to Golden. Good photos opportunities. Watch out for bicyclists!

Most amazing views can be found along this road. We just happened to turn the wrong way and ended up taking this route. You can see all of Golden, Downtown Denver skyline, and pretty much greater Denver! Visit Buffalo Bill's gravesite and then take this...More

We took this drive on our last day in Golden. The scenery is amazing, and there are several small towns you go through. It took about 45 minutes. We ended up in a great little old bar in Morrison, CO. Well worth it.

Beautiful drive but for a flatlander it was nerving at times. There are steep hills and large trucks driving this road. But its a big highway and we just stayed to the right. Worth the drive to see the amazing views.
