The views from Lookout Mountain are amazing! Worth the drive to the top. You get a great view of the mountains and can also see Golden and even downtown Denver on a clear day. Our driver on the Coors tour recommended it and I'm glad...More

A wonderful stop with wonderful views, especially the one with distant downtown Denver in the backdrop. If you're up for a pleasant drive along the Lariat Loop Road don't forget to check out the views of Lookout Mt.

There are lots of trails around Golden. I would recommend going up to Castle Rock rather than Chimney Gulch (up Lookout Mtn) or Apex. It is a much shorter hike (about 200 m vertical and perhaps 30 minutes up), but it is all open and at the top you will be poised above downtown Golden. Search for the Lubahn Trail.
