The kids and I pulled off here for a place to stretch our legs and get some pictures. We loved the view. Would be a great place for a picnic!

For someone with a fear of heights this was a challenge driving up the mountain. Once we arrived the fear dissolved and the beauty of nature took over. It makes you wonder what it was like long before the roads and convenience of today. I can't imagine traveling this on horseback. Something to see as nature doesn't disappoint.

This is aptly named and lovely. Great views; especially at sunset. A highlight of our time in the area. Combine with a visit to Buffalo Bill grave and museum if you like. Heading up there is well worth the time.

Follow the signs off the highway to Buffalo Bill's Grave. He is buried here at Lookout Mountain. You can see Denver from this vantage point, as well as all the surrounding cities and mountainous region. The name says it all. There are coin operated viewers to get a close up look at Denver and the rest of the wonderful views.... More

I hiked to the top via the chimney gulch trail. Fantastic hike and the scenery was great throughout. Watch for Mountain bikers. Everyone was very friendly on the trail.

Go up to the Buffalo Bill Museum for the best views. To the east, the flat plains and to the west, the vistas of the Rocky Mountains. I found myself wondering, as I looked west, what the people who first encountered the mountains on their way westward thought. The Nature Center itself is nice, but I think the views from... More
