I frequent this area on my road and mountain bikes. The road is typically not too busy during the day mid-week. It's a good uphill grind that many local roadies do intervals and time trials on. Don't be intimidated because a lot of time there's no one out there and everyone who is is friendly. For the mountain bike side... More

Outstanding, quaint friendly and beautiful.. Highly recommended. Golden is close to the light rail. This is a great choice to get downtown without any hazel. The old Am track station has been remodeled and is a perfect place to start your Denver exploration

I needed a quick trip to the mountains while I was on business in Denver. This was perfect. Only 20 minutes or so to get there from downtown. Has a few places to pull off the road to take pictures. Also stopped at Buffalo Bill's grave which had great views.

The trip to the park is beautiful, the only word I can use to describe it. The visitor's center has many great things for children to see, do and explore. It would not be a complete adventure unless you talk with the staff. Seldom have I seen people that are truly dedicated and enjoy teaching others of what they see... More

Follow the signs to the top on a windy and scenic road. This is a quick excursion if you are looking for something great that doesn't take too much time. We drove to the top, got out, looked around, took some pictures and got back in the car and drove down the mountain. They do have a shop up top... More

This was an amazing spot. Great views and plenty of spots to get photo opportunities. I recommend going a few more feet down the road to the museum next door for more viewpoints from that parking lot. The gates there close at 5pm though just an fyi.

Wonderful place for views from atop the mountains of both Golden and Denver in the distance. Also a great place for gifts, ice cream and fudge!

Lovely drive up and down the mountain. Something you can do that does not take a half day to enjoy. At the top there is a nice gift shop, a place to eat and for a fee the Wild Bill Cody Museum which was very interesting. His presumed grave is also at top of mountain. Nice views of Denver and...
