Self guided audio tour of the brewing process. Very interesting and the just the right length, about an hour. Lounge at end of tour with a limit of 3 beers. No cider on the day we toured. Kids younger than 21 get soft drinks (Pepsi...More

My girlfriend had recently went to the Budweiser Brewery tour in St. Louis, and this was our next stop. You can't beat the Budweiser Clydesdales (they are so large), but the Coors Brewery is in a beautiful location (Golden) and they give you more beer...More

We really enjoyed this short self-guided tour. The facility is amazing and we learned so much about how the beers are made. At the end of the tour you get three- yes THREE full size beer samples of your choice! The gift shop is great...More

We didnt book in advance but arrived maybe an hour after they opened. There was already a line but it moved fast. The tour is self guided and great. The samples were a very good size.

Did I mention that it's free? Prepare to wait for the shuttle that takes you on a brief tour of town and drops you off at the plant. (Someone in line with say 'Schlemiel! Schlimazel! Hasenpfeffer Incorporated!'). Self paced audio tour that ends with a...More

First you have to wait for mini-bus transport from the pickup location to the actual visitors center. The mini buses only hold 14 passengers each and this provides a way to manage the flow of people into the visitors center. However, the management of flow...More

I thought this was going to be a nice but boring tour and it turned out to be just the opposite. It has been one of the best tours that I ever took. Our tour guide was dressed all in white as though he were...More

Touring Coors makes for a fun afternoon complete with beer tasting! In the summer, the lines can be long waiting for the shuttle. We just parked and walked over. Even children enjoy the tour and get a beverage at the end. We have done numerous...More

During a recent visit to Denver, we decided to take a tour of the Coors Brewery. We have been on several other brewery tours, and all were interesting and worth the time spent. Not so for Coors. We went on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and...More

I believe 5pm and like the others have said I would get there before 12 and get in line ASAP because the lines do grow long pretty quickly. The tour is great however and worth going.

Denver for a day (1 Replies)
We will be spending a day in Denver during our trip to Breckenridge. It'll be a Wednesday. I was disappointed to find that the Coors brewery is closed on Wednesdays, because we wanted to do the tour. Can any one recommend something fun to do in Denver on a weekday? Any unique restaurants to check out? I'll take ANY suggestions! Thanks!

I do not want to do any mountain drivng--no mountain edges, no switchbacks.... We are planning a day that includes leaving Denver & visiting the Coors Brewery, the Buffalo Bill Homestead, Red Rocks and maybe Dinosaur Ridge. I'm thinking about taking an organized tour, although I'd much prefer exploring at own pace...but do not want to deal with any mountain driving. (Did I mention fear of heights?) I received conflicting info from Denver tourism bureau, AAA and the various sites. Some...More

timo2, thank you SO much! So it sounds like I can go to all these places at our own pace, by driving, without worries re drop offs (or the visual illusions re drop offs) or switchbacks. I really appreciate all this information!

What to do in Denver? (0 Replies)
Hey, I just got checked to my hotel in north Denver and I won't be leaving until tomorrow afternoon. What are some things to do for a newcomer? It's already 4:00pm and tomorrow is a Sunday... Good night life? Is Black Hawk worth the drive? Is the Coors brewery open on Sunday's?
