My teen son and I stopped here on our way to Denver. The grave is an interesting part of history. The views my the top of the mountain are incredible. We stopped at the snack shop for an awesome cup of salted Carmel hot cocoa.

If you’ve never heard of him, you’re either too young and not American! :) We visited here as children over 50 years ago when Johhny Baker’s collection of memorabilia was displayed inside the Pahaska Teepee. Nowadays, the collection is very professionally displayed in the Museum adjacent to the Pahaska Teepee, now solely a gift shop and cafe (though the cafe is closed during COVID.). There’s a kids gallery at the end where kids can ride the bucking horse! Outside the museum is a wonderful overlook with even better views than from the Gravesite. Very interesting man and this should definitely be a stop if you’re in the area. …

We loved this stop! The museum, gravesite, gift shop, and even the parking lot had amazing things about them. The museum was inexpensive, informative, and had many hands on things for kids. The grave was a nice short walk and was pretty. The gift shop had everything you could think of, including DELICIOUS homemade fudge (we recommend the raspberry banana and the chocolate peanut butter). The views from the parking lot were astounding! Highly recommend!…

We were able to squeeze this in after a day in Denver. The gravesite is free and outside, but the museum is a real treat. A short film and plenty of artifacts and information about Buffalo Bill that I had never heard. Great use of an hour if you have a chance.
