A Little Pricey but Very Enjoyable
Overall we agreed it was a little pricey, but we enjoyed our experience (as a couple). We made a 3hr reservation for 2:30 on a Sunday. For us, the 3hr time block was a perfect amount of time to soak and enjoy and we spent the whole time in the pools. Check-in was very smooth, though I suggest arriving a little early during peak times because we did have a relatively short line to wait in. The front desk was very thorough about explaining everything. Included in the price of your reservation is one towel per person and one locker per person. Additional towels can be purchased. They also have some swimsuits, sandals, etc. for sale in the reception area if you forgot something, though they're also a bit pricey (we didn't purchase any extras). The lockers are operated by your wristband, which was very nice. The locker rooms were fairly nice and had private showers and some private changing stalls with curtains, though midday Sunday it was a little crowded. The showers do have ceiling mount (overhead) shower heads, so if you want to rinse off without getting your hair wet definitely bring a shower cap. The pools themselves were pretty nice - they're all small-ish and there are a bunch of them. You can move from one to another from different temperatures and views. We thought the layout was pretty nice. They had some relaxing music playing too. It wasn't an upscale spa environment, but it also wasn't a party environment. Midday on a Sunday there were definitely a lot of people, but we didn't find it overcrowded. You definitely will have other people next to you in the pools, but you weren't jammed in there and (as a couple), no pools were too full for us to join at any point. They also have a larger play pool that might be good for kids, but honestly there are better hot springs in Glenwood for fun family playtime. They also have food and drinks available for purchase that you can bring around the pools (you can't bring your own except for water bottles). We didn't purchase any so can't comment on the quality or price of those items. Overall, as a couple we really enjoyed our visit and would recommend it to friends. If you're looking for an upscale spa or party resort, this isn't it. It's also a bit pricey for a family with kids who want to play for hours, and honestly there are other hot springs in Glenwood that would be better for that. But we were personally very happy with our experience!

    Worth the drive
If you’re looking for hot springs then I recommend Iron Mountain. For us it was our first experience with hot springs and though it was a 3 hour drive from Denver we thought it was worth it. When you arrive they are friendly and explain the process. You’re only given one towel, if you like you can grab an extra for $2.50 or you can also bring your own. They have locker rooms, you can access them with your wrist band. Once you enter the pools you’ll see many and there is a map with up to date water temperatures, as they change through out the day. We enjoyed a few of them and thankfully it wasn’t too busy. They also have a family pool and “snack bar” with some great eats and drinks. I would suggest the sunset soak time slots as the sunset was so beautiful and once the sun was down and the temperature dropped the hot pools felt great.

Great way to spend 3 hours!
Did an overnight via Amtrak to Glenwood Springs and went here in the AM when they opened. Was so relaxing. Many pools, limited people, great facilities. Walked there from our hotel. You need to get reservations but we had reservations and couldn’t make them the afternoon before because our Amtrak was 5 hours late getting there so I was able to walk in at 9am the next day. So, try not to get reservations if you take the Amtrak for the afternoon you arrive because it can be late!

The place for relax and pleasure
We visited a lot of different Mineral springs resorts throughout the United States and Canada in Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Alberta, British Columbia and other states and can say that Iron Mountain Hot springs are those, that you want to visit. Placed near Colorado river and surrounded by snow mountains this resort has an excellent view of surrounded nature. The resort has so far 16 pools and will have more in the nearest future. Although the pass is active for 3 hours - it is enough to soak at 100 - 108F. The resort is very popular and a lot of tourists visit it.

Relaxing Experience / Very Clean / Friendly Staff
Family vacation stop. Was very relaxing and was overall great experience. Locker rooms were clean and convenient, staff was helpful, many hot pool options. Wasn’t overcrowded as they limit how many people can come at any given time. Has a good snack bar and small gift shop. There was a large regular pool that anyone could use. Heated but very mild. Would recommend to anyone.

    Rest and Relaxation
Visited the hot springs for the first time in June and the experience was awsome. They had so many different pools to choose from, it was hard to decide. After trying quite a few and really enjoying them, it was nice to jump in the actual pool to just relax. Had a great experience.

    Tried something new in Colorado!
Loved this experience! My husband and I took our 17 year old daughter and a friend. We went at 6:30 pm on a Wednesday evening and it was absolutely the perfect time! It wasn’t too crowded, we enjoyed the views and experiencing the sunset! I definitely recommend visiting! Loved having a locker and two towels per person as well! We will be back!

    Loved it!
Our first hot springs experience and it was aahhmazing! We booked the upriver adult area for our group. We loved it so much, we went back again the next day instead of going to the vapor caves. It was peaceful and relaxing! Lockers and towels are provided, as well as showers, toiletries and changing areas. Tip: frozen cocktails were better than rocks.

    Lovely experience
Was not expecting too much as this is not my cup of tea however, it was a fabulous experience. It seems quite expensive but actually, it was worth it. We spent most of our time in the adults only section I was great. Very clean, very soothing and very well kept. . Did love the serenity of it all.

Best relaxing hot springs in town
I recommend Iron Mountain over the other local hot spring option in town. This is more quiet, more private, has much better parking options. No contest. This this like a private club and is amazing. The pools are labeled with the temperatures and mineral levels. There are so many options. There is also an adults only area, which was actually more crowded than the regular area. You can relax and gaze out onto the river. Amazing.

Our family visited the hot springs on Wednesday, and we were all very impressed with how clean it was and how well they’re following Covid guidelines. It wasn’t very crowded, and we had many of the hot springs to ourselves. The staff was friendly and always walking around cleaning. When you go in they give you a bracelet to wear that corresponds with your reservation time. When your time is up they will announce which color bands need to leave. We all had a great time and left feeling relaxed!

The area is divided so that there is a quiet area with hot springs pools, and a kid-friendly family pool over to the other side. It allowed for everyone to have something they loved. I was concerned that our 2.5 hour time slot wouldn't be enough but honestly it was plenty of time to enjoy everything. There is a little cafe with reasonably priced items - veggie tray with hummus for $6, alcoholic drinks for $10, etc. Remember to show your ID on check in and get a band so you can drink if you want. Also, tip - bring towels from home/hotel to save $5/towel. The staff were friendly and everything was really lovely!

We visited the Glenwood Hot Springs the day before and it was just OK it was more like a giant public pool. This one Iron Mountain is more expensive but WAY Worth it! Spa like luxury experience multiple temperature spring pools along the river with mountain backdrop. Relaxing spa music playing, decorative rocks and Ironwork, fire pit. Great snack-bar also serves Alcohol that serves reasonable priced food and drinks. They require reservations so that it is not overcrowded. They have showers with all the necessities included in admission price. Would 100% visit again. Got 10% off discount with card given to us at the hotel.

One of two hot springs attractions in Glenwood Springs, Iron Mountain is a very nice facility offering over a dozen different small mineral springs pools of varying (hot) temperatures as well as a larger (cooler) family pool. The pools are named for different minerals and signs tell you the temperature. A ticket gives entrance for a 2 1/2 hour window, which you will reserve in advance when you buy a ticket. It was not horribly crowded, though some pools were being used a by a group of 6 or 8 people who weren't moving so we never got to try them. The place overlooks the river and was pretty during the evening hours leading to sunset. There is a large and clean locker room facility with showers (shampoo and body wash dispensers on the wall), changing stalls, and reasonably priced lockers. There is a snack bar which also serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Very enjoyable visit.

This was a bucket list item for us. They have special rules to follow COVID19 guidelines. Even though they said the locker rooms were closed people were using them. The website and reservations page also stated no outside food and drinks were allowed, however, when we arrived the sign said (except for water). I found this irritating because I wanted to bring my own water but since I followed the rules I had to pay them a high price for a bottle. We also saw people eating their own food and one guy was even carrying a cooler. The grounds were well kept and beautiful. The hot pools were enjoyable.

Hi goldendoodlesexplore! Thanks for visiting. You can bring in an empty water bottle and fill it at our hydration station. We're sorry there was some confusion about that. Outside food is not permitted. We're not sure what was going on with the cooler. Our manager, Aaron McCallister, would be interested in speaking with you more though. Please reach out to him at your convenience. Aaron's contact info is amccallister@ironmountainhotsprings.com or 970-930-6060. We're glad you enjoyed the pools and grounds and we hope you'll visit us again in the future.

This is the kind of experience I expected when I think of a Hot Springs. It wasn't too crowded due to the appointment time slots. It was great that there were numerous pools with different temperatures for people of all heat comfort levels. We went in the evening when the sun was setting, so we enjoy the light and dark. A few more maps of the pools with names and temperatures would have been great. The views of the river and mountains were great until it got dark. If you want a hot springs experience that is relaxing and not too crowded I would recommend.

Let me preface this by saying we used to really enjoy this place when it first opened. We live about 20 minutes away and we were passholders for a couple of years and felt like they had really good customer service. We were even considering getting the annual passes for our family again. Unfortunately, that has changed and we won’t be back here.

In addition to doubling their prices (which I can understand because of inflation), we’ve had a few issues just with the front desk being rude or dismissive. We went today and while we were in the tubs, a storm came through and completely drenched everything, including our towels. Went we went back in and asked for 4 dry towels for our group, we were told we would have to pay $2.50 a towel/$10. Our wallet was in our RV which they make you park in a lot pretty far away, so our choices were dry with no towels or run in our bathing suits to the other lot to retrieve our wallet, in pouring rain.

I asked to speak to the manager and she told us no as well. We were literally standing in the middle of the lobby soaking wet from the rain lol and she said something along the lines of “you should’ve kept your towels in your locker” and that “we won’t do it for you bc then we would have to do it for everyone”…well, you should? We had a child in our group and that was fun trying to dry him with no towel. Anyway, after paying almost $50 a person and being told no towels after a torrential downpour, we won’t be back and won’t take our guests here anymore either. I work in hospitality in the valley and am disappointed in the philosophy of this local business. Greed sucks.

Hi there, thank you for visiting and sharing your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear about your experience with the towels, and how employees treated you during the situation. This is not the kind of experience we want our guests to have when they come see us to soak. We will be passing your note on to our management team so they can address it internally. Our General Manager, Aaron McCallister, would like to hear more about your visit. Please consider reaching out to him at amccallister@ironmountainhotsprings.com. We hope you'll connect with him so he can work to make the situation right. Kind regards,

While staying at nearby Glenwood Canyons, we were excited to try out the hot springs for our first time at Iron Mountain Hot Springs. We arrived about 30 minutes early and checked at the front desk to inquire about the check-in procedure. The front desk staff were not friendly at all. They informed us we couldn’t check-in until 6:20 and we couldn’t be let into the property until 6:30. This was fine, as we didn’t mind waiting until our time slot at all, although our excitement had immediately turned to disappointment after the rudeness of the front desk staff. We browsed around the gift shop for a bit. Then we noticed another group come to the front desk who were also there for the 6:30 time slot. They proceeded to let them check-in, sign their releases, get wristbands and purchase their towels which was not offered to us. Then this group actually snuck in while staff wasn’t looking. Another disappointment was that although it was a weekday and the entries were timed, the hot springs were way too crowded to enjoy. We spent more of our time in the family pool and hot tub which was enjoyable.
