After investing over $50,000 in closing our company down for two weeks to travel out west on a once-in-a-lifetime experience we were very happy with John and his crew even with a slight issue our needs were addressed immediately and I cannot say enough good things about capital peak and the crew John was excellent and would highly recommend will definitely use again

We did the 2 hour Capitol Peak ride today with Corey and it definitely exceeded my expectations. The horses were clearly well taken care of, we rode to the top of a mountain (steep ascent and descent) with amazing views of Capitol Peak and back down. Corey did a great job giving us information on the ride and it’s obvious he loves the horses. The beginning portion of the ride is up a dirt road before you get to the trail, but the road goes through tons of Aspen trees which were beautiful and super relaxing. The views at the top were amazing!!

This guy yelled at my wife on the phone for an extended period of time because she couldn’t make it to Aspen due to I-70 and Independence Pass being closed from the wildfires. Extremely rude, take your business elsewhere. This isn’t how you treat customers paying $500 to ride your horses. He literally acted like he was unaware of the fire situation and that this was her fault. Don’t do business here.

The website advertises a 2-hour ride for $95/person and another for $150/person. They will only let you book the $150/person, likely because business is slow. What frustrated us more was that we booked a two hour ride, but it only lasted about an hour and 15 minutes. We rode up a street, then back down. So, we didn’t even get the full two hours we paid for. In the end, we paid $300 for just over an hour’s ride - up and down a street. We were also pressed multiple times during our ride to come back the next day and ride again. We will never book here again and advise anyone considering it to look elsewhere.

Perfection!!! From our awesome guide Chance to the gorgeous scenery and great trail horses, we had a truly amazing and wonderful experience. Our ride was about 4 1/2 hours and an elevation gain of about 1500 feet. Spectacular. Breathtaking. This Capitol peak ride takes you off the beaten path age it is so worth the extra effort!!! We spend every summer riding and this trip surpassed our high expectations. Thx so much to John (who was so great in helping me coordinate this ride), Kyler and of course our terrific guide Chance for this unforgettable ride. We will be back and will definitely choose Capitol peak outfitters every time!!!
