Rocky trail at places, but under going work as of this month (Sept. 2015). Looks just like in this picture. But, need good hiking shoes and to be in pretty good shape or it will be slow going.

The place is just absolutely beautiful. The trail is a bit strenuous but once you reach the Lake, the view just completely makes up for it. You will feel instantly relaxed.

Well worth the 4 hour hike up & back! Once you turn climb up the highest incline & turn the corner, the beauty takes your breath away!

We went there three years ago and it took me five minutes longer this time. Just over an hour of hard steep climb, but well worth it. The travertine lake (more of a pond, pretty small) is striking. This spot is so popular and crowded...More
