This is about a 1-1/4 mile hike straight up. It's not for the faint-of-heart. It is a little difficult and crowded. If you do make it to the top, you will be glad you hung in.

Gorgeous views, steep hike and can be very hard if there is snow on the ground. We have done it in March and it was fine, just don't hike in flip flops.

I'm not in horrible shape and I found this hike difficult. 1.2 miles each way with about 1000 feet elevation gain, lots of rocks to navigate with very steep "stairs" toward the end. However, it is absolutely worth it! Hanging Lake is simply spectacular! Hubby's...More

Nice hike, a bit strenuous for older folks but kids will have a blast. Lake and falls at the top are well worth the hike.

Amazing, nearly tropical looking lake at the end of a tough hike. Take your lunch or a snack and plenty of water.

A diamond in the rough! A beautiful oasis at the top of a mountain. Definitely worth the hike. The waterfalls are also a sight to see.

It really is amazing how clear the water is and how pristine this spot is with how many people visit each year. It really is a diamond in the rough.

There is one point near the top that has some steep areas that might be intense if you are afraid of heights as I am, that being said if you go with someone that isn't afraid they could talk you through it. It's really neat... More
