As someone said, this is not a hike for the faint of heart. Wow! It is 1.2 miles up which means it is 1.2 back down and it's all uphill over rock. We saw people with dress boots and sandals trying to climb it. Ridiculous! It is a very difficult hike but we felt like it was worth it but... More

My husband and I hiked this a few days ago and consider it the highlight of our trip. We are flatlanders from Michigan and this was a difficult hike. You climb almost 1,000 ft in about a mile of trail. Some parts of the trail are difficult due to climbing up high steps cut into rocks. I have a little... More

Short but difficult hike. Quick elevation change but worth the effort. I've hikes it many times and still enjoy the beauty that this place offers. Parking at the trail head is horrible.

There was something in Glenwood springs to keep everyone happy. We had a good time and the hotel we stayed in didn't get very good reviews, but it was perfect for what we needed. A place to sleep. It was clean and the staff was friendly.

This lake is stunning. Worth every step of the steep, almost 1.5 mile one-way hike it takes to get there. Though steep it is well manicured and has rock steps in the hardest parts that make it easier to traverse.

Love this hike, it isn't for the faint of heart or out of shape. 1000 feet in a mile of continuous uphill. If you can't spend an hour on the stair master than this hike is not for you. Spouting rock is a great little addition!

It took us 3 hours to complete this trip, including the time we spent at the top. Enjoyed the hike, but it was uphill all the way and we took plenty of rest breaks. Definitely take water and good shoes.

Hiked the trail after biking from Glenwood Springs so we did not have to worry about parking. It is a 1.2 mile climb on a rocky trail but worth every step. Need decent shoes and for those who are not used to climbing or the altitude, plenty of places to rest. Make sure to take adequate water. Don't miss Sprouting... More

Amazing experience. Be patient in parking lot, cars arr changing very often. Disadvantage is many people on the way. But it was nice.

Lovely Lake with clear sparkling blue/green water. No swimming here. Places to sit and enjoy the sights. Would be a nice spot to bring and eat some lunch. On a busy July day there were a bunch of people but it wasn't a big deal. Definitely go on to Sprouting Rock - it's just a few minutes further and worth... More
